Just did myself the replacement of the sleve made out of aluminium and it work greeeat I just tested 300 rounds on it and it did work...thanks for the info.
Interesting mine are breaking on my p80 g19 build, was going to make an aluminum one and I'm hearing they shouldn't be made from metal and the impregnated lubricant polymer is made that way for a reason, getting mixed signals here. I think ill just machine myself an aluminum one and see how it works 🤷♂️
It's the stock spring. The issue was the construction of the striker which would jam into the spacer sleeve. Glock seems to have done a stealth fix. Older 44s can be fixed with the farrow tech aluminum sleeve.
The back plate is not listed as fitting the G44. Can you confirm it’s fitted and working as it should? Thanks. We have strike Industries here in the EU so can order direct. Thanks.
It fits but I wouldn't get it. It broke a couple weeks after I bought it. The polymer ones are junk, I understand they have a metal version now, maybe that's better but I just went back to the stock backplate.
@@jamesjodimazzuchi926 First let me say shipping from FarrowTech is amazing. Ordered Aluminum Spacer Sleeves on 6/13 and received them on 6/16. Not only is shipping free it is also fast! Just ran 200 rounds through each gun (I've got two G44's) and no mishap's. I put a drop of oil on a Q-Tip and circled inside and outside of spacer sleeves. I thought might be better with aluminum taking place of poly. So far so good.
@@TACNERD1 My original firing spring sleeve had just 400 rounds thru and started to show minimal signs of wear. I replaced sleeve with farrotech aluminum and polyflex backplate. It seems the firing pin spring did not fully recess and recoil snapped backplate push part.
@@stevet710 I make my order 2 days ago, is on transit right now, my glock was working perfectly, I just want to fix it I noticed the sleeve was, starting to get a bit damage on the front of the firing pin I will going to test it in 2 weeks when I go to the range or maybe before if I get chance I will let you know what happens
plastic with metal slamming against it is going to damage it wtf was glock thinking oh wait they weren't. Glock wont be in business much longer with their mandate for all employees to get the jab
