I admire any man or women , mature enough to say; "You know what? I don't want kids , I don't have what it needs to that big responsability" or simply, "I don't need kids in my life". Because, let be honest , a lot of parents NEVER EVER should have had kids , they are horrible parents and their kids suffer and live miserable, and eventually become assholes thanks to those kind of idiots.

@broomsterm okay dude, let's take a look at your (lack of) logic here. You think that women without children can't be happy? How about the many, many women who have had children and turned out to be terrible mothers who are unable to provide love. Your assumption that motherhood = automatic happiness is so ridiculously ignorant, it really shows how limited your view of humanity is. Also, a lot of women who have children end up alone because they are neglected. These are sad facts that you wilfully ignore to suit your aggressively stupid ideology. How about you stop criticising the women above and focus on your own happiness, because you sound like you're miserable (and bad in bed.)

Most elderly people I know (and I worked in a nursing home), have lots of children and grandchildren and die alone and no one vistis them. I don't know why people say that childless people will die alone. I'm a 31 year old man and I'll never have children. That's for sure! I don't even want a forever partner. Happy Loner here! And if I die alone, so be it 😁

One of the most offensive things I was told (by my so called best friend who is a mother of 3) was when she asked me if I ever planned to have children (I'm not in a relationship right now) and I said "well I've thought about it but I think that what I mostly feel is just pressure, cause it's expected of me." and she said "I think that not having children is selfish. And I said" I think having children when you're not sure you want them is wrong. She said "I think both are selfish" I could not believe she had said that to me. So according to her, I must want and have children in order to live my life correctly as a woman. I ended the conversation there and left.

haha, the very act of creating life is selfish. nobody has children for the children's sake. people have children either out of their own need to care for someone, or because they want to expand their family tree, replicate themselves (narcissistic much?) or because it's expected of them and "what might other people think?" opting out of parenthood because you don't feel you can or want to is responsible and the opposite of selfish. it saves you from potential regret and it saves your potential children from the pain of not actually being wanted or cared for in the way that they deserve.

women dont have kids and the laid back attitude of entertaing onself with kids is problematic. Fact is human body needs to reproduce, both guys and women can regrow skin, but only she can take parts of her and him and spend monthhs building that new body, its continuing a species, providing a related heir.does she feel distain for youth and or that her body is one of a kind?

Not having kids was the best decision I ever made. Every day I thank my lucky stars I didn’t give in to the status quo. 42 and couldn’t be happier. If I was a man, sure I’d consider it. Why not? As a woman? Hell no. Even in the most “egalitarian” relationships my female friends with kids do 80% of the work. And still work a job.

I've known since I was a teenager that I wouldn't want kids. I tried to get my tubes tied in my early twenties, but they wouldn't let me until I was older, because I guess a lot of women change their mind. Now I'm 44 and I still never changed my mind. I wake up every day so happy that I don't have anyone to take care of, while my friends lives revolve around their kids.

I really really wish more women were like this. I wish more women had the courage to not have children if they don't want them. There are far far too many people on this earth who have children and are not prepared to look after them properly. It takes a lot of common sense and courage to do the right thing and not have kids when everyone around you is telling you to do otherwise.

I feel peaceful without children. One of my biggest fear is get hurt by the ppl I’ve grown to love or be embarrassed by them for what they do. Kids will do these things most of the times unless you got lucky. Lastly I don’t want to do all or most of the child rearing alone,

I love my dad, but he was a part timer in the family, when my mum was the one with three jobs. Not only are you funny but you kept it classy. They talk about parenthood like it's the 50s nowadays it's usually both parents that work and the children are with babysitters or in a day-care center. If it's still a baby they can switch. I think it's not even about having the time/ right schedule but more about the desire to raise a child and have a family vs desire to be free without responsibility for others. Similar thing with marriage.

I didn't think I wanted any kids for a long time but my son is my little buddy. That doesn't mean I think I'm doing some service to the world. I feel like Chelsea over-emphasizes her childlessness. It's all good. Have kids or don't.

i feel like she may want to deep down, but can't admit it because it crashes with the way she lives her life. or because it makes her vulnerable. whenever she talks about being childless and how it's "so great" i feel like "the lady doth protest too much". like when girls keep saying they "love being single, omg", but then when they get drunk and cry all over you because ... they actually aren't okay with being single. .. or maybe she just wants to enrage people who claim it's selfish to not procreate. i would.

My brother-in-law is a househusband and loves it. My sister-in-law is a housewife. Gender equality is all about choice for both men and women. It shouldn't be seen as a male attribute to not want to be a primary caregiver. I'm a trans woman and I'm glad Gloria is no longer anti-trans.
