Thanks for the vid. Looks like that setup comes to over £1000, be interested to see how it compares to Gozney but I know thats where my money would be spent. A few observations from your review - the oven base looks unsteady. The table doesnt have wheels so limited mobility. Also wood legs means no adjustment for uneven surfaces and potential rotting issues.
Thanks for the comment! The build quality is very nice and the finish is great too. I would have liked to see a way to fix the smaller table to the larger one to make it more secure.
Hmm not great design with that door handle getting hot. These pizza ovens cook so quick you don't really want anything interfering with the cooking process e.g. time spent putting on gloves = burnt pizzas
To be honest o think the door is more useful for longer cooks like bread or roasting meats. During this video shoot I cooked 6 pizzas and not once did I use the door whilst a pizza was in the oven, only between cooks.
I have the raptor since last summer and I'm super happy with it. I mostly use the door to retain the heat while heating and it helps to manage the air draw and the smoke. If there is no door with full combustion, it produces quit a lot of soot. Place the door with the vent open and with some space for a draw, it will burn super clean and heat faster 👌
I bought the glowen raptor 3 Weeks ago and was so happy when it arrived. My Gasburner failed after one hour of using the oven. I asked for a refund because I was very disappionted with the quality because thats a know problem. Got now answer from the glowen Support within one week. The Oven is doing a Great Job if it Works but i would not buy it again. The Quality ist not worth a thousand euros.
They are very different, both in function and design. The solo stove is gas, and smaller and more modern looking, the Glowen is multi fuel, larger and has a unique design. Both are capable of cooking good pizza though
Thanks for checking out my video! There are many differences between these ovens, I have videos and play lists on all of them I’d recommend checking out
I had to google what an F-117 was but I see now what you mean! I asked the company about shipping as a few people have asked, hopefully they will ship to USA soon
Thanks so much! I don’t have a video of this recipe yet but will make a video soon. The recipe and method for making this dough is in the video description though
The reached out to me and asked to send me it to review. I would assume they have contacted me as they will soon offer to a UK customer base, however it did cost me a lot in import tax thanks to UK now not being part of EU
The reason I am asking as I bought the diablo and had to get it delivered outside the UK and then have it collected and delivered to the uk. Havent used it yet but looks impressive. Paid a lot for delivery though, but thats Brexit form you.
In my opinion is that there is more (vertical) space to turn the pizza in the Glowen than in the Ooni Koda. It is also easier to see the entire baking process.
Maybe it’s because you’re in the UK, but it’s important to differentiate what type of gas the oven can use. Is it propane or natural gas? Also, might want to mention they are only available to a very limited number of countries. That said, I do enjoy your reviews and other videos.
Thanks for watching and I think you would need to contact the manufacturer directly for this info but in the UK we almost always use propane for outdoor grilling/cooking. Some will use butane but it has a higher melting point so better suited for indoor use
Another oven can easily be placed on the large table. On top of the smaller table there is a preparation (two longitudinal grooves) for the Glowen ovens (Dragon, Raptor, Diablo), it must be placed there. There is no such thing on Ooni. That way it would only hold it by its weight, which is not safe in my opinion.
