Ok, I just tore into this overpriced pile of shit and it's two heavy equipment cab filters with a charcoal media on the other half. I drilled the rivets and I'm going to blow the primary filter out and run tech screws in place of the rivets to make this serviceable.. $250 is about 2.5x's too much for what they invested into it.
So after viewing your 3 part videos I just wanted to ask maybe I missed a spot you still prefer the outside ventilation over this? I will be buying one for Christmas just don’t know if I should add that side ventilation since it is $900 😓 thank you
@@ChrisMasto I have heard of venting outside issue due to the humidity of the weather can cause the condensation and damage the machine. Is there a way that we can avoid to not getting condensation? I am in Texas, summer is supper hot and humidity. Thanks!
@@creativetouch-artcraftdesi9044 I live in New York, and my Glowforge is permanently connected to the outside through an external fan and a standard set of dryer vent louvers. I have not had a problem with condensation in the summer or excessive cold air coming through in the winter. That being said, other people have, so I'm not saying it isn't a concern. The two solutions I have seen people suggest are to have a quick disconnect so you can remove the hose when you're not using it, or to have a blast gate that can be closed to seal it off. I don't have personal experience with those, so I can't provide a recommendation.
