I started doing this after I watched your video last year.... Back to say THANK YOU & that it vastly extended the life of my filters. I run 2 air filters on 2 GF pros, selling a high volume of christmas ornaments, so anything to cut down on that big filter cost helps immensely! One tip to anyone doing this: I was vacuuming out my pre-filter after every 4 hours of cutting, to make those last longer too, but I totally choked out and killed my nice Dyson vacuum with the fine dust (costco exchanged it for me though, phew). Make sure you get a shop vac instead of using your home vacuum!! I just got a Dewalt that has a dust separator funnel thing on top, so the doesn't choke the filter in the shop vac either.
Excellent tips. I knew the filter was supposed to run following use, but never knew why, so thanks for explaining. I’m also ordering the pre filter from your affiliate link.
The one I have was discontinued but I put another on in my affiliate shop links in the description or here’s a link to the affiliate shop as well: www.amazon.com/shop/freshstartcustoms/list/3CGS2EAZVB7CF?fs=e&s=cl
@@FreshStartCustoms I got the PUREBURG carbon filter that is on this list...but the material seems a bit thicker than the one in the video. Would that be ok?
