OK, this powder is good. But one question is: do we even need a product like this?!? If I use my favourite highlighter and the classic Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder (which is already awesome), don't I get exactly the same effect and the same durability of my make up without spending twice as much?

Last week Sephora was offering a trial size of this product with any $25 purchase (the promo might still be active, in case anyone wants to try it). I hadn’t even opened it yet because it was more on the “sheen-y” side of things. This video couldn’t have come at a better time, and you’re someone who’s reviews and techniques I trust 👍🏾 ❤️ Can’t wait to try it now! This powder reminds me a bit of the Hourglass ambient lighting powders in Radiant and Incandescent. I think BareMinerals has a similar product that comes in a duo (matte side and a glow side). The Hourglass and BareMinerals powders give you that barely-there glow that’s just gorgeous for the daytime.

She 100% used other Laura mercies products because this video is in partnership w Laura mercier, not because of the reason she said, that’s never been a case before for her. If you really wanna test a product you try it with another brand you know works well already, that way if anything goes wrong you know it’s the product you’re testing. Makeup products should work well in general, not just w that brands products. A lot of people splurge on Laura mercier setting powder n buy drugstore stuff for the rest because the powder is such a cult classic.

Hannah Louise I’m sure that was one of the requirements for the sponsorship but a lot of the time, brands products do work better together. Especially with liquid makeup. That bases (oil/water) of each product are meant to layer and be cohesive to one another.

That foundation blended in so perfectly into your skin! With the ipl treatment, your face is already flawless so I can’t even tell the difference between before/after foundation application! Also - can you do another video with Meeka?? I love her personality!

This reminds me of the Milani loose setting powder in "Radiant". I love that, but definitely don't use it as an all over setting powder! LOL. I have very dry skin, but it's way too glowy for an actual setting powder. I use it basically how you did here... as more of a "natural glow from within" kind of highlight and it's BEAUTIFUL!

I really enjoyed that video/tutorial. It was different to your normal tutorials, but still great though........Your makeup looked beautiful too. I loved the subtle highlight on your face. I’m over the full on highlight everyone does. So if this new Laura Mercier Powder ever arrives in Australia I will be purchasing it.......I also loved how you put on the Ordinary Powder using the Puff and rolling it onto the skin. It made your skin look flawless....... Do you have to purchase the Powder Puff separately? Or does it come in the Powder? I have the Original Powder but can’t remember if there was a Puff with it or not?......I also loved the new Laura Mercier Highlight Brush. It fits in those highlight areas perfectly. I want that as well!! Lol

Hmm, sis we know it’s sponsored, you don’t really have to give a whole excuse for why you’re using all Laura Mercier products, if I buy a product and it only works with product from that brand, it’s a bad product. Like, no one is mad. Get your money! Influencers cannot eat makeup, just be straight up. It’s just cringe when I’ve watched Shayla and Desi did the exact same thing you did, used the exact same language, used the exact same techniques and you’re trying to over justify it.

This was an excellent video but when you applied the makeup the lighting was too bright and washed out so was. Little difficult to see the real application

Love the video! I haven't tried the original one though I would love to but it's not available in my country 😔.. I have a kind of oily dehydrated skin and I tend to put the setting powder in some specific areas although I get oily all over the face so I'm naturally glowing lol 🤣 does the glow one dry the skin as well or is it just like a sheen/highlighter?

I'm no expert, but I don't think you are supposed to sweep the brush back and forth. I believe that can clogg the tiny hairs on your face and irritate the skin. As for this powder, it's a luxury item that gives you some sparkle and can be used anywhere on the body. I've used it, it's very pretty.

Help! The original Koh Gen Doh aqua foundation has been my holy grail for years now but I'm running low and see that they have a new formulation now. Would you say there's a big difference from the original to the new version? Would love to know your thoughts on the new formula. 143 was my purrrrfect shade, Im so nervous to order again now.

how similar is it to the hourglass ambient lighting powders? would you say that it creates a similar effect, to where i could just use it all over the face for a natural glow?

softgirldeluxe I’m sure it’ll give a similar effect. However, the Hourglass powders are a “finishing powder” that go on top of a setting powder. Finishing powders will not set liquid products unlike the Laura Mercier Glow Powder. I feel the LM is really 2 products in 1, it’ll set and give a finishing effect.

It's got corn starch and soybean oil. Since it doesn't state it's organic, and 99.9% of the world's soy bean products and corn products are GMO, I don't want to breathe fine particles of glyphosate up my nose on a daily basis. So many great powders / makeup products use these ingredients, not just LM. I don't consume GMO food, so I don't want to consume GMO makeup either... I LOVE makeup and want to enjoy it like everyone so I wish cosmetics companies would realise health isn't an issue to gloss over, it's serious sh*t.

All RU-vidrs do all these makeups on your young, tight, and hardly no large pores. I mean, the real deal is if you can master getting flawless looking foundation on older person. Everyone looks good at your age I'm sick and tired of this b******* I mean stippling on your face hello I don't see one pore I don't see any wrinkles I don't see any loss of firmness of course it's going to look good. These companies are so stupid it's older people that have the money!!!
