Hello lovelies! Welcome back for another episode of Skin Talk with a very special guest. Shannon and her sister Erika started their makeup company Shades by Shan in 2018 in their mom’s basement in San Francisco, CA. They’ve built this beautiful brand from the ground up. They also run a nonprofit foundation in honor of their mom naming it the Mama Berries foundation (www.mamaberrie...) which supports single moms and donates a portion of every shades by Shan purchase to single parent households.
In this video today she will be sharing her story with us, tips and advice for starting your brand, and lots of gems. All the while we will also be doing a facial for her. Hey Kristen! Love your videos as always! I noticed in a lot of your videos you like to double cleanse with 2 water-based cleansers as opposed to starting with an oil cleanse, I'm just curious why you prefer that method with your facials :) also I love the Skin Script enzymes as well. Not even a fan of the coconut smell but I absolutely love the coconut and papaya enzyme they have. I have to try the pineapple one you used in the video! The massage you gave Shannon looked so relaxing 😭

Great question! I think it’s more so personal preference. I’ll use an oil cleanse if it’s to remove makeup. I have it I just don’t grab for it a lot. I like the cleansers I like and it seems to give good results. But tbh I haven’t really paid attention to that and this question makes me wonder if it truly makes a difference? So thank you for asking! Do you have any insight or experience to share on this?

Aw thank you so much ❤ I appreciate your support! And yes I do. I’ve featured some in previous RU-vid videos. This facial was her first service with me so I kept it pretty introductory. BUT I do have some new products and machines to share with you all very very soon 😉 still in the testing and review phase!
