This channel rocks! Super helpful. I had been very sick with brain fog for a long time. The pain in my gut had even sent me to the hospital 6 times in 5 years. I cut dairy, nope. I lowered fat, nope. I lost 111 pounds! Nope. After 2 endoscopies revealing a hernia, they told me I don’t have Graves, Colitis, Chrones. None of that. So I cut gluten and a TON of my issues went away. My skin stopped breaking out in redness all the time, no stomach sickness anymore, my brain is firing on all cylinders. I’m so glad I found this channel. It’s not all bad. So thanks!

Wowzers where did you get that funky pastry blender!?!? Mine is always bending, wilting and pretty much useless 🙄

Time for tea! Looks yummy! Too bad we don't have smell-a-vision! 😊Do you grind your own flours?

Thanks, Dolores! 😊 They really do smell heavenly-love "smell-a-vision" ahah!! I sometimes grind my own flours! I have a Vitamix and have the flour grinding container add-on, but I find it only really works well with softer grains. I will often grind my own oat, millet, and teff flour. Almonds work great too, but Costco has large affordable bags so I usually get it there. For harder grains like rice and sorghum, they tend to be a bit gritty so you would likely need to have a flour mill. For ease, I just buy those pre-ground. Hope that helps!

@@robynsglutenfreeliving I've been making a list of appliances that I might need to get, in case I get diagnosed with celiac in December. I have tested out as lactose and fructose intolerant as well has having an ulcer, as you might remember. I didn't know if the gluten-free flours would be easy to obtain and if the the cost of purchasing them would fall within my shoestring budget. I've been looking at flour mills and it's a toss-up -- where am I going to store a mill and the grain or would it just be easier to store the flour? And is it more cost effective to purchase the mill and grain or just the pre-ground flour? Can you make a video of how you store your flours, so I can get an idea of how to store my stuff. Thanks.

@@DoloresJRush Yes, I do remember! 😊 Have you noticed if the grocery stores around you sell gluten-free flour? One of the most cost effective ways that I have found has been shopping in at bulk stores, but that can sometimes be risky depending on the store. Sometimes, though, you can request to buy an entire unopened bag-which is more expensive up front but will last a long time. If you live in the US, I'm pretty sure you can order bags of rice flour, tapioca starch, etc. from Bob's Red Mill in large quantities, which will help to save money. Are you US based? As far as the mill goes, I honestly haven't really considered it because I live in an apartment and similar to you-I have no idea where I would store it. As far as appliances go, I mostly use my stand mixer. I love having a high-speed blender too, but that's more for cooking. 😊 Great idea on a storing flours video! I'll add it to my list. I need to organize my kitchen a bit first though... 😂 Haha!

@@robynsglutenfreeliving Yes, I'm an ordinary American citizen. I don't live in an apartment, but do live in an apartment sized cottage. Don't have a basement nor a garage, although I do have a garden shed out back that is stuffed to the gills with garden tools and seasonal storage items. Walmart is usually where we buy our groceries, but I'm open to going elsewhere if I need to. I've been eyeing that kitchen-aid mixer you've got behind you. I do have a hand mixer which would have to be replaced along with the toaster. I also have a blender and magic bullet. Wasn't sure if I had to replace those. The magic bullet is mostly plastic with some stainless steel (blades). The blender has a plastic and metal base, but the jar part is glass with a plastic lid. We've already have replaced all my cheapie mixing spoons, spatula's, etc. with stainless steel and now have glass storage containers. I like the farmhouse decor look, so even if I don't have celiac, it will fit right in with that look.

I finally broke the rules and raised my dapsone prescription to 300 mg finally relief.! Tired of the biopseis. And them saying they delivered the prescription. or I ordered it to soonz the silliest thing because it can be diagnosed by the patient taking it! an sighit alnd logic. I've never felt 300 mg before only 200 and 100. I've only been on it for about three hours and I'm already seeing major improvement. I just have some iga deposits on my face. They hurt like hades. thers but they hurt a lot less now. geez i hate gluten! No one understands if I don't have the medication well I cannot eat and my skin is on fire.! I'm also going to be scarred for a wile because well it went down my legs it's going on my chest and on my back. At least I don't have any on my ear this time.

Why don’t you weigh the ingredients? Isn’t that better for accuracy?
@robynsglutenfreeliving
@robynsglutenfreeliving 9 месяцев назад
Hey there! If you access the recipe through my website, you can toggle between Imperial and Metric measurements. 😊 Technically it is more accurate, yes. Though in the US/Canada, Imperial is the standard.
