GM 3.4 harmonic balancer belt squeal cause

this happened to my 98 grand cherokee 4.0 at 315,000 miles. luckily it didnt destroy the radiator i replaced earlier that week.

Will this also cause the Pulley to not stay in alignment with the AC compressor? My daughter has an 03 olds alero with the V6
