These bolts are on all sorts of gm vehicles. parts are plentiful but here are a few different options. autozone www.autozone.c... amazon www.amazon.com...
What happens most of the time is the threads in the battery itself might be threaded. The contact is just lead. I bought a battery terminal bolt with a slightly longer thread so it would go in a little deeper into the battery where the threads aren’t threaded. That worked. It’s just a temporary fix until the battery gets replaced, then I’ll just use the original bolt and make sure I don’t over tighten next time.
That doesn’t seem impossible to do. I have learned batteries don’t have much wiggle room for longer bolts. Glad it tightened down for you though, I would of considered using a tap set to go up a size. Also a heli-coil
@@ZacpactvHe's correct. The longer bolt is what you'll probably need. Had the same issue on my Corvette. Autozone had a side terminal replacement bolt that was about twice as long, with a spacer to prevent bottoming out in the hole and piercing the battery. much better grip and no issues for over a year now.
