I installed this on my MK7 GTI in the glovebox and it really makes a huge difference. I also upgraded the mid woofer/speakers on my front doors with a 6.5 speakers from Orion. Sounds good so far and I'll be upgrading the rears soon

I like this little amplifier, pioneer is my brand.... wonder how good this would sound hooked up to the factory cd/mp3 radio in a 2005 regular cab truck with matching 2way pioneer speakers, just to keep things simple.

Hi! This looks about the same specs as the Sony XM-S400D and on 2:15 to 2:20'ish, it can be hooked up to say like a fuse box under the dash with ample current rating (say a vacant 20A slot). But what I am really confused is that most of my friends and installers I asked, they recommend for "any" amp to hook it up straight to the battery via an 8 gauge wire! Isn't that just overkill?

Are there gains on the Pioneer amp like the alpine power pack? or is it pre set?

Great video, i have a Pioneer DEH-4500BT 4 x 50W Head unit connected to 4x speakers, rear speakers are 2 x Alpine SXE-1750S 280W peak power and the front are 2 x Alpine SXE-1725S 220W peak power each speaker, im thinking of fitting one of these amps to give it a bit more thump, would this work with my set up ? thanks !

Hi, I have just bought the focal ps130fe flax components. Will this have enough power to drive them in bridge mode. Dont want the rear speakers realy gonna run some infinity referance 5002i off the deck faded right out judt for some rear fill if i need. Also have subwoofer also. I already have the pioneer installed but if it wont power them properly i have an old punch 300s. Thanks

Wired this amp up to a set of PS5250 Kickers on my motorcycle. Sounded fantastic for a few days but I blew one of the speakers, amp was not bridged BTW. Any idea why? Speakers are rated 50W nominal & 100W max. What speakers can you recommend in a 5-1/4" to a 6.5" range?Thank you!Pete

quick question if anyone knows my stock headunit dont have the amp turn on blue wire i was wondering when i connect the speaker input and output to this will it sence the sound coming from the headunit and tell the amp to turn on.i dont want to wire the amp into the key turn on to be honest i dont want it on when i dont have the radio on so wont run down my battey

Hello....In the video you mentioned that one could just utilize the power coming from the factory harness....and since it only draws 15a that there is no need to go to the battery unless "you are that guy"......My 2008 Honda Odyssey's radio is on a 7.5a fuse....Can I still use the factory harness power and not go to the battery? Hey guys, nice job on your channel very informative. Quick question, so I have an autocontrol lc2i tapping into the rear speakers. I want to add the pioneer gm-d1004 for the front and rear speakers. Will adding the gm-d1004 interfere with the signal going to the lc2i out of the rear speakers? Obviously I know it will increase the signal somewhat, but if I wanted to use the hpf on the gm-d1004 would I be able to just use the hpf on the front speakers and leave the rear full range so they still get a decent low range frequency signal for the lc2i? Or if you have any other suggestions or ideas please let me know. I have a 2016 honda accord sport so I'm trying to do the best I can without changing the headunit as I heard the current Metra kit that retains the factory screen and controls is very glitchy.

another query... if I want to amp up my two 4-ohm speakers which has power range: 10-100 watts RMS (300 watts peak power) with this amplifier, should I use the bridge mode to get 90Wx2 ? Or should I use normal 45Wx4 mode, use 2 channels and forgot other 2 channels ? any suggestion ?

This amp will power speakers through RCA outputs OR direct speaker wiring from the head unit. What nobody ever talks about is the direct wiring method and whether or not it boosts the output of a head unit that has a 40W MOSFET built in. Its not worth it to buy this amp for an extra 5W output through RCA input, BUT does it stack with the amp in the stereo through direct wiring (85W total)?? My current speakers can handle 80W nominal (6.5in front) and 100W nominal (6x9 rear), 4- and 5-way respectively. About to upgrade to 150W in rear. They punch hard, but I feel like more power would clear up the bass at higher volumes, or just allow more sound overall. All is Pioneer matched. Again, the Q is will this actually do anything better than my head unit, and/or will it ignore the MOSFET?

I need your help and recommendation. i have the 5 channel pioneer amp powering pioneer d series 6.75 components and d series 6×9 & 10" pioneer sub. but i also have pioneer d series coaxial 6.75 rear door speakers only being powered by the factory head unit and the sound sucks. i wanna power those rear doors speakers too. my question is which set of speakers should I set up with each amp? and is it ok to run 4 gauge power and ground to the d1004 amp since i already have a 4 gauge distribution block connected?

how does it work in bridge mode ? I am looking for a ~100W x 2ch amp. I did some research on this amp and many people said not to bridge an amp except for the woofer. What's your experience bridging this amp ? and does it really get close to 100W ?

I recently installed the same system in both of my vehicles. AVH-2330NEX and GM-D1004. I am running the GM-D1004 in 4CH mode on both systems. I did not use RCA’s for either install. I wired the high inputs of the amp to the stereo. I have alternator whine with both systems. With the volume down, I hear a pitched whine when I accelerate in both systems. My power and ground for both amps were connected to the power and ground of the factory wire harness. I was advised to do it this way for where I bought the systems. I’m worried this is the culprit. Would love some advice on how to fix this.
