great vid. but under vehicle if you check yes on both heated and cooled seats start up. the system will detect outside air and give great or cool. amazing
I find the screen to be a Horrible Experience overall. I would prefer a System with Knobs and Button, not the iphone screen system. Is there a way to get rid of the OnStar, Text, Projections(on Mine), and Nav, as I will Never use them? I don't want them cluttering up the Screen
I have a 2021 GMC elevation truck and was wondering how to download more apps like pandora. I just got this truck and it's been 15 years since a bought a truck so please get me up to speed. Lol thank you!
Thanks brother I just bought my 2019 Yukon and Iwas looking for a video where explain every app and config for the screen on my Yukon, wells explain and easy to use bro 💯🔥
Do you have a video that delves into setting up and playing Playlists on this system? I have my music on my flash drive in the console for traveling and while it recognizes my computer generated playlists it will not actually play them. TYIA!
Very informative. Thank you. Question, have you or someone you know ever had the instrument cluster gauges go nuts when the truck is taken out of park?
Hi Michael I have a 2014 Vauxhall Insignia you will know would know it as a Buick Regal. My car and that does do the remote windows close after about 10 to 15 seconds of holding the lock button on my ignition key.
I always pop in your videos from time to time and catch up I may not comment but I'm here. Today I found out Carlos passed away and I Been extremely sad and watching a bunch of old videos on the 3gs and iPhone cases. I just don't understand why he coukdent make videos and disable monetization.
Valet mode should not allow your valet to access your stereo system and your navigation so you can’t get peoples home addresses or family members addresses
Got a 2019 GM elevation. The infotainment system drops the volume on my iPhone 11 Pro. I’m missing text and phones calls if I forget to turn it back up when I leave the truck. Very pissed. Anyone here help me???
Works great, until it doesn’t. Everything in the infotainment system runs through an HMI module which is located behind your glovebox. I have a 2018 Silverado 2500HD and mine just failed. Replacement module is around 800 and is on national backorder 😒
Patriot ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p15YcQIRo-k.html Check this video out answer to your question is yes need somethings from a company called nav tool check there vids on here if your worried about the link there the best I’ve seen saving to get mine ASAP it’s bad ass.
Good Video if i go into settings and turn off my rear ultrasonic alarms , it automatically comes on and stays on !!! i have to either turn it off on the DASH button or go back to menu and turn it off . on my 2018 TAHOE
I have a 2019 GMC Sierra SLT 2500. I traded my 2015 Sierra SLT 1500. I really miss my old infotainment system. The main reason, I could pause the radio/go back up to 30 minutes. The new truck, I can't. Don't know why GM got rid of that!🤷♂️😒 Very thorough review sir.👍
the AC/heat and heated/cooled seats will actually use one or the other based on the temperature outside. You dont have to go into the settings and turn one or the other off in a certain season, pretty sweet to me.
my question is on my 2017 for the traffic it worked at on time. now it's not. I called XM about it . I think they will have to refresh it again. when it worked it was cool I was driving it told me about firetrucks in area. had to reroot. thought that was cool... Do you know about that system....
Nice video. How do I delete previous owner name from apps page settings. Got any mor video with details on the process of downloading apps and how to set up account by username and password?
BASHEM72 I took my truck in for some warranty work the other day and they let me borrow a 2020. The system had some cool upgrades.. I might ask them to borrow it again and do an update video
two questions. 1 when the stock navigation map is displayed the round tune/menu button will no longer change the radio or xm stations, but zoom the map in and out. Now you use the up down arrows to change stations. 2 if you turn your ignition key to accessory position at night it will also turn on the parking lights?
Hey Michael, @9:58 - WTF GM??? GM intentionally set it up for the windows not to roll up, via remote, because of children getting choked, fingers broken, etc. It's the same thing when the auto makers changed the power window buttons on the doors to close by pulling the button back instead of just a back and forth toggle. True story, back in the 90's a small child leaned out the window in a stationary, parked car and put their hands on the door handle for support. However they pressed the window button and the window rolled up and crushed the child's windpipe and the child died. What made this story even sadder is that the parent was right there when it happened and they knew CPR but could not save the child because of the crushed windpipe.
Gotta take the good with the bad.. Some look awesome but operate like crap.. It's nice that it just works and easy to figure out... Yeah.. Sorry about that Android Auto mistake.... ;-)
I have pretty much the exact same setup for my Chevy Malibu minus some different settings. I think its good but feels a little clunky if you need to do something while driving such as navigating to a specific XM station. Just keeps your eyes off the road more than I would like. I try to stick to using CarPlay as much as possible as its so awesome in my opinion.
+Andrew Szabo I might just be use to the 300 system I had in my 4 Runner that this more intuitive.. lol.. I like using my steering wheel controls to run through stations.. takes a sec but I don’t have to take my eyes off the road. I like Car Play though..
I wish I had better steering wheel controls. Outside of answering or ending a call I wouldn't bother. You have to dive through menus just to get to the radio.
My new 2018 Equinox only has the NAV-OnStar. Not just NAV. Also I don't have the Weather app or the Traffic app. Is there a way to switch the NAV to just NAV and not NAV-OnStar?
@@Aaron-dp5kb Thanks Aaron but since my question is from 2 years ago, I don't give a shit anymore. I now use Android Auto with Google Maps and or Waze for navigation and I installed the Weather Channel app on the head unit for local temps and radar. I won't ever subscribe to On-Star so I've disabled it and removed the on screen shortcuts.
Meh.. It's not the best.. Too bad they placed the screen in most of their cars like they build that car and forgot about the screen and said.... Hmmmm.. stick it here.. yeah.. that looks good.. For the money I pay I want it to be setup better. They seem they can't make up their mind to either use the center display or just put it in the drivers display.
I judt bought a CPO 2016 Silverado 1500 ltz, I dont have the android auto option, I even tried to plug my phone in and nothing pops up. And the dealership said it should come up. No idea wth is going on. Any idea how to upgrade it or reset it so maybe itll work then?
@@techexamined my silverado doesn't have that projection icon and I downloaded android auto but still I cannot get navigation to come up on my screen....any suggestions....thanks
