Keeping the UI simple and easy to use is exactly what is required in modern day cars, there are fewer companies who can get it right, Honda seems to be in the right direction and I hope that this car does well, for Honda's sake
I drive the Elevate Top Model. Have been watching almost all your videos on Elevate especially. There are no two opinions between Your driving experience and mine . You guys are bang on. 👍😊Sandeep Seth .
Absolutely what I wanted to see. Also nobody else talks about how the wireless charger heats up your phone. It’s about time all companies provide a cooled wireless charger (I’ll take that over a cooled glovebox). Hyundai understands this well.
Hi Jenil, thanks for the feedback. Indeed wireless chargers heat up the device and both Hyundai and Kia provide a cooling vent in front of the charging pads. About time other car manufacturers provide something like this.
This video will help Elevate owners for a long .....what a thoughtful approach..... Thank you Sir for this amazing video and Beethoven's touch with music ☺☺😍
In terms of sound quality, it is better than the units on the Taigun and Kushaq. I haven’t experienced the unit on the Hyryder or GV so no idea on that. In terms of controlling the various features in the car and the display of information, the Kushaq/Taigun is better since it links with the onboard computer (BCM) and displays a whole lot of information. This in turn, can be tweaked using VCDS to customise the options. The unit on the Elevate lacks these aspects.
Hello, great video! I thought Honda comes with an in-built navigation system, but it seems that you need to connect your phone and that’s the only way you get Maps/navigation. Is that correct?
Hi. Yes that’s right. There’s no built-in navigation other than Google Maps or Apple Maps or Waze which you can enable after your smartphone is paired using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
Very Nice review Sir Great explained ...im using i10 2008 on CNG as its over 15 years old .. now want to buy car for Family Thinking About elevate but Their top end is 16lac but city V varient is about 13.50 ... i really don't care about ground clearance but everyone is suggesting go for SUV its great suspension for bad road or in water high situation I live in pune ... if I buy car will not sell it until next 15 years ....was thinking about 2nd hand Vento also as I love VW cars ...What will be you're suggestion...
Hi Monu, firstly decide what type of vehicle you’re looking for - a sedan or a crossover. The market trend these days are towards crossovers and sedans are a dying breed. It is true that crossovers have a better GC but if you have to wade through water, both sedans and crossovers have an equal chance of making it through or failing. The only ones that can wade through 700-800 mm of water are PROPER SUVs not these crossovers. They have their engine air intakes located high up. You seem to keep your cars for a really long time. 👍🏻 My pick would be the Elevate. It’ll give you Honda’s reliability and peace of mind. It won’t win any drag races or 0-100 kmph darts but the CVT is supremely convenient and you’ll have a peace of mind at all times.
Hi Sir, I'm planning to add blaupunkt infotainment for my Polo 2015 highline. Do we need any CAN bus decoder? I've two 8 pin coupler. one for speakers and another one for CAN and power supply. Kindly help me on this .

The voice commands that you use for Siri can be used to play, pause, skip to next track etc. for the music. No built in Honda commands for the voice controls for any other systems like sunroof, HVAC, etc.
@nsetty You cannot play RU-vid videos in any system on any cars as it is illegal and violates the rules. However, you can install third-party apps on Android Phones to enable RU-vid playback. This again is illegal and not recommended. Play Store will remove these apps when someone reports it.
@@GaneshBalan ..That's good to know info. In that case if we want to play any movies, should we connect via USB storage that has the video files and run it on the infotainment screen. Does it come with any built in app to play video files. If so, what type of video files does it support?
@nsetty It plays only videos of a specific format (mp4 I think; please check my video, I’ve explained it) through USB drive. The system plays the video files using its own software. No separate application is required.
It seems very basic. Even Honda connect app is trash. Honda being a multi billion dollar company could have made premium ui for app as well as infotainment system. Thanks for the video❤
So true. When we compare it to the systems from VW/Skoda and Kia/Hyundai, this one feels very basic. No controls for car related systems like HVAC, Lighting, Windows, etc. In fact, this is the case with their Civic and premium cars like Accord too. The UI/UX feels very basic.
@@GaneshBalan Oh! What's the point of giving 8 surround speakers in top end ZX variant but not allowing us to experience great music. I saw in other youtube video that firmware update has been released for the firmware a week ago. It would be great if you can show us how to update it and what are the changes or bugs fixed. You can pin the video in this comment as well. Your video is the only one available on youtube and you have explained it clearly. Thanks for that bro!
@@GaneshBalan just received an update from Honda connect app in ios app store. No detailed remarks. Its just mentioned as bug fixes. For your kind information pls
Hi i use Andriod Auto. The voice command was working properly sincei bought two months back. But since last one week, the voice command is not accepting. I tried uninstally and also Honda engineer checked the setting. It was not working. He upgarded the software still voice command was not working. The engineer used his movile and connected to Audio, it worked. But when my samsung android phone gets connect its command voice is not working. Kindly guide me. Thanks.
Hi Vipin, several Android users have reported this and is likely linked to an AA update on the phone that’s causing this. Maybe a future update can resolve this or you’ll have to roll back to an earlier one.
Hi Gopal, this is not possible. Please watch OTT on your phone or at home not in the car as it poses a safety threat to the driver and the occupants of the car.
Hi Jitesh, the V and VX gets a 8” display for the infotainment system. I intend to do a review of the infotainment system of the V and VX variant. Give me some time.
Hi Vishnu, I find it spot on. Unfortunately they have only one engine on offer which is the downside when other manufacturers have hybrids, turbo petrol and diesels on offer. Honda is playing it safe. They’ll keep the hybrid for the facelift but it may be a bit too late by then.
I have been using Honda Elevate. When we are using radio, there is no option to exit from it. Atleast I have not found it. Please help if anyone knows, how to exit the radio.
@@GaneshBalan Thanks for your Reply. I do the same thing, but it is very annoying. God knows why Engineers can not provide this option & what cost saving they achieve.
@user-gb1zy1jm4o I agree, it can be annoying. But I don’t remember doing anything different on the system on my earlier car - Polo and even the Santro we have at home. If the radio was the last source, unless we switch to another source or turn off the system, the radio would remain on. Was this different in your earlier car?
U can mute the radio by short press of the powerbutton or press home screen or press the power button and off the screen. U can alsomanuallylower thevolume to 0...these are the only ways...I just bought the Elevate and I also asked my service advisor at Honda.
If you select the location, it will open in Google maps. Start the navigation. If your device is connected to the infotainment unit, it will automatically start navigation.
