DTC Info was the one that caught my interest. I can't tell if these are common problems or possible issues cause I surely don't have 100 codes saved lol
good Video just picked up a used 2017 tahoe Speakers cut in and out over bumps Right side . i can see the Previous Owner had a AMP install Cause the 1/4" PWR wire from the Battery Runs along the Cowl and Ground 1/4" cable is still there !!! Going to take the Panels Off to see if loose Wires Present or try your Trick with the Speaker test .
I would definitely do the speaker test after you take it off and wiggle the wires as soon as they cut out you know which one it is thanks for the Comment
@@chevyboybrownjb83 Update !!! Today is a Warm day in Toronto - Canada . Decided to RIP the RADIO Assembly out . I Could see the Thick Gauge wiring Going to the Center Console Between Driver and Passenger Seat . on the Carpet . So i Know Some has Touched the Truck . Sure Enough - Found a LOC and a Amplifier Sitting on the Carpet jsut Below the GM Radio Reciever .. Still Trying to Find where the Wires Lead to .
Very interesting. I wonder if you can turn off the sirius advertisement that plays whenever I turn my car on. I want the radio to start out on FM instead of sirius since I don’t have/pay for it.
If you take the plastic off your steering column there's a little switch back in where your shifter is connected it's the park safety switch just put a piece of tape around it or something to keep it depressed
SFORDS just know if you tape that button down, you can only start your vehicle in neutral as it won’t know if it’s in park other wise. Hence “park safety switch”
Are you able to change the radio boot logo image? Had to replace the HMI module on my GMC and i got one from an Escalade. So now my Sierra boots up but it says Escalade on the screen.
Hello, thank you for the video! I have one question, my device always have a message when I turn on the vehicle, do you know where I could disable it? I entered these menus as you said but can't find the option. Thanks in advance!
I've looked and looked and played around apparently the only thing that can resolve your situation is bashing the monitor with a hard object once it breaks there will be no more annoying pop-up messages I hope this helps
You have to change out the module. They didnt upgrade to carplay and Android auto until 2016. Navtool youtube channel you'll see another channel where you can oem upgrade of the radio and hmi module that's 1300 navtool 899
