I did the same. I wanted a mini crawler and he just did the Rochobby Fire Horse and I felt like he answered all my questions and the unbiased runs are such a great help.
Gmade is way under rated in the USA I believe a Korean brand not Chinese if that matters to people. Your axial and traxxas are more likely made in China lol anyway . Offset front axle way before others offered it . Scale awesomeness and they perform . Drive pins loosen up so put some thread lock on them . That’s it tho, go have fun on the trails and rocks ! As usual awesome job Francis Take care !
Great video like always. Your videos have taught me a lot even though with a lot of cars I can't afford at least I know they're good or not but the crawlers I have got that you have did reviews on your dead accurate On your review. So thanks and keep the good reviews coming I love watching them. I have a small channel check it out if you don't mind it's Nothing like yours but I could use your support.
I just started GS02F blazer build today WhhhA! Already got the copperhead/pullerpro v2 2700kv set up and programmed to hit the trail.. This was supposdly an early Xmas present to myself. Oh I might need another present lol
Biggest issue with the suspension on these is the springs. Much too stiff IMHO. I've gone to an Element Grey spring on my Komodo (originally a BOM). All of a sudden the damping doesn't seem so bad and the truck actually rides the rocks rather than bouncing around on them. There's a lot to like about the GMade trucks, good to see you adding this one to your collection!
I have the BOM and Buffalo kits. The BOM is the new version with the 2 speed also. Great builds. My 2 cents....... Great rigs!! My only complaint is lack of aftermarket and the shocks a garbage. I tried 80wt and they just don't have any damping. I put gen8 shocks on mine . major improvement. SCX10II brass knuckles bolt right up on these too!! But that's about it. Also, I haven't had any problems but people on FB groups have recommended to me not to go brushless with these kits. I think the long shaft in the transmission likes to break if you over power it. ( I have 1080's and a 10t crawl master in one and a 21t trail master in the other). No problems so far. PS. The pickup looks great!!! Too bad they didn't include the 1904's in that kit. Those are great tires. Some of the best. Great video!! Always enjoy your content
@@themountain59 . sorry sir. Poor choice of words on my part. They do have "some" dampening but are still way to fast. I didn't assemble them wrong......for sure.
@@themountain59 maple syrup...he needs like 10wt or 20wt..not 80 thats why theres no movement...i hear wayyy to many negative stories on gmade so im just nervous to buy one...
@@themountain59 yeah, I’m holding off for now. Honestly, I would buy a TRX-4 (non-Sport) if they offered it as a kit. I prefer building and like the idea of a two-speed gearbox and a servo-controlled diff locker.
Just stumbled across this truck by chance. Had not heard of GMade before. But I definitely like it and the price point is acceptable for what you're getting. Only addition I would like is to have a roll bar. But I can design one and 3D print that myself.
Man thats a good looking truck I've always loved the square body chevys..nice to see someone building them. If they had more of an aftermarket for them they would deff be one of the top trucks out there. The lights look insanely bright. Great review as always.
How many aftermarket parts do you really need on a crawler? I got injora scx10 II brass knuckles on mine, gmade steel link kit, aluminum servo horn, gmade sr03 steel wheels, injora tpe dual foam. I'm already 100 times more pleased with it than my upgraded 2014 scx10. I haven't broken anything after driving it 8-10hours. I've heard about two RU-vidrs breaking the front axle pinion and bevel gear. One of the RU-vidrs used 4s battery and slipper clutch tightened all the way. That's probably the only thing this could need an aftermarket opinion for. Stock bevel gear and pinion is only 12-13$. You can also reduce stress on front axle by removing the overdrive. Torque twist will also be reduced. I used dremel on stock plastic c-hub to increase steering past 45°. Steering radius is amazing in both directions.
@@thor_4017 well just going by what he said about not much support for it here in the US. It sounds like there is enough to take care of all your needs.
@@276rclife6 if you google ssd gs02 knuckles you'll find ssd has aluminum knuckles in two colors with available brass weights. You also get ssd 70gr heavy brass knuckles, and aluminum scx10 II front shock tower. Junfac has a lot of oem aluminum upgrades for gs02 and gs02f.
I love Gmade cars, but, and having owned an R1, they always seem to have issues with the suspension! I had to do loads to the R1 to get it to flex and droop. Got it in the end, but I don't understand why a car would go out like that!?! 🤷🏻♂️
@@themountain59 What happened to rcmart and asiatees on eBay? They're gone. Amain sucks when you live in Scandinavia. 25$ shipping for the tiniest item. Never used them.
@@RCReviewChannel thanks. One of the reasons my brother and I come to you is because of that. Btw, if your link for the fire horse was paid, you got two sales there! Thanks
@@RCReviewChannel one thing with francis he will be honest for sure and i thank you for that...i dont feel the brand being pushed down your throat like some youtubers pushing vitavon on every video THANKS FRANCIS
