Wow! Why did they stop making these?? They are simply classics. The foor plans are fantastic! This one is just a beauty. I would be afraid with that old of engine. Or is it new? 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 That utility room would be great with some barred shelves for a pantry.

I remember these things as a kid growing up in the 1970's . They were cool looking then. They're still cool looking today.,

This is a great motor home platform... The power plant is almost a direct take off of the GM Eldorado / Tornado power plant... The suspension system was quiet advanced for the day... They drove much like the family car ... The driver seat positioning was excellent... One of the major rental car companies used this platform for their shuttle buses for years with great success.

$70K is a steal. I’m stunned no one else has commented about what a great deal it is 🤦‍♂️

Those motor homes were way before their time. So awesome front wheel drive no wheel wells inside the vehicle. GMC should have continued to make them.

Every time I see a RV like this, it so much reminds me of the movie, "Stripes."

Lovely Motorhome. Although it has been restored hope whoever buys this lovely Motorhome does not decide to paint everything white inside. It has been lovingly restored and a lot of work has gone into it as well.

Knowing what just a class B can go for these days, I think this is well worth the price. Wish you could have shown the shower. Overall very nice.

My Dad I test drove the GMC when they first came out. Love it.

We had a 1976 Eleganza. We loved that GMC! It was totaled in a tornado.

What a beauty. Problem with a gorgeous coach like that is you want to restore it to its original state which usually means no lithium batteries, no solar and no composting toilet. Deal breakers. But it’s definitely a stunner. Especially meaningful for me. That’s the year my son was born.

This is a really nice design to begin with and they did a superb job restoring it and updating an upgrading everything 70,000 is a bargain don't listen to all the negative stuff here. Not that I have 70,000 or want this thing but I'll tell you what it's a very nice build.

VERY NICLY DONE. twenty years ago i done body off the frame restorations on two of these. everything from drivetrain to wiring, plumbing, etc. even custom built stainless grey and black tanks. also done a Revcon same way. those things are so cool

These GMC are very next level. Always reminded me of Scooby Doo and the team.

Nice restoration on that coach. On the asking price , unless you find a collector I can't see it bringing that kind of money. Class A diesel pushers built in the early 2000's to 2012 or so can be found. They will have more room with more features and have much better parts availability . Also units with slide outs are game changers when it comes to floor space . Many camping parks do have age restrictions on older RV's that can limit the available camp sites. I do wish you luck on getting what you want for it , I know you definitely put a lot of work into it.

The engine and transmission, what did you go with for rebuild or did you replace with something different? What a sweet motor home.

A lot of those GMC motorhomes are being restored some people gone ahead and opted for the Duramax diesel engine for its efficiency

What a beautiful job you guys did on that reno! WOW! It looks like what a brand new one, made now, would look like if GM decided to get back into this style of motorhome. Just gorgeous! Personally, I'd much more prefer this type of motorhome than the new ones available today. I find these new ones to be too danged dark inside (not enough windows) and very cramped. The ONLY think I don't like about this one (and many new ones too) is that there's not a single double bed, perhaps at the rear, where there's room for each person to get onto the bed like in a house (on the sides). Most seem to make people have to climb over the foot of the beds. I also didn't notice a stove there, unless it's hidden or "outside". But even so, just gorgeous and the price is reasonable!

I thought it was a nice presentation. I’ve always like this RV since I first was it used the the Mack Bolan “The Executioner” book series.

One of these with the duramax and a six speed Allison would be the ultimate rv.

Is it front wheel drive? How big is the motor ? the brakes all done? The tires new?

What’s with the drink and the cup ?

So many questions- the toilet is almost the same height as the sink? You kept the original tub/shower without recoating it? Why update some things but keep others original? Like the cheap plastic 12v lights, those aren't original and, well... they're just cheap looking. Do the twin beds still fold up for seating like they did originally? GMC coaches are awesome, but for $70k I would expect a better rehab, and a cooktop, and a convection MW. The fridge appears to be 120v, but it wasn't mentioned. Oh, lose the drink.

I noticed the rear left factory speaker that was inside the storage cabinet. Did Coachman (or whoever outfitted the Royale) put that cabinet in, or was that done later? Just curious, because I know nothing about the Royale builds. Thanks.

Paint the water heater door to match the body and get rid of the hideous curtains and replace them with nicer ones that actually match the coach interior.

Did they upgrade the rear brakes to disc brakes? What about the tires....good , bad, made in China? Tell us about the important things and not about cheap furniture and plastic cups and saucers that probably total a hundred bucks.

There’s a guy in Empire Nevada who has a dozen of these rigs sitting in the desert east across Hwy 447 from the town and gypsum wall board factory. You can see the rigs on Google Earth.
