Great video man! I also have the 4 cylinder '03 Sonoma and haven't had any problems besides the A/C compressor going out. Gotta love the part about accelerate to 60mph because mine would take about a minute to get up to that speed! haha love the truck though.
I found one in Oklahoma with a rebuilt transmission at 0 miles for $11k!!! It originally had 26,000 miles put into it but I am buyiny it ASAP!! I love these little trucks, the 2002 GMC Sonoma was my very first vehicle I purchased from an old friend of mine during hard times. I endes trading it in for a 2016 Toyota Sport because it was giving me a lot of problems and I had no money for repairs but I dearly missed my little truck. It had 155,000 miles on it last I used. I like my Tacoma but she's not the same as my Sonoma. I cannot wait to get my Sonoma again, something about S10s just remind me of nostalgia and the past.
Sounds neat, make sure to catch that on tape if you can. Oh, and don't forget about that 6.9 IDI diesel you've got! Some folks would like to see you finish that someday too!
Hey I have the same truck, mine is blue with a side step. I love it, you can maneuver through tight spaces when turning sharp. It's a good truck to start out with as a first automobile for me =] God I love my truck hahaha
Ive owned 2 of these ,Both Bought new in 96 and 03.Both had 4 bangers.My96 had a 5peed manual and my 03 has a 5 speed auto.the manual was much better in gas milage.lost 5 mpg ave with the automatic. If they still made them I'd buy another with a stick.Mine still runs great and burns no oil.performs in every way practically the same as when it was a year old.No probs except replaced the AC comp and fuel pump.132000 miles on it and she still looks great too. Gets lots of compliments still.
The sound of the flasher relay is coming from behind the glove compartment. (DRL relay also located here) Not from the right speaker. If you take care of the 4-cylinder and drive it with some common sense, it will last a good long time.
awesome vid daniel hows the class you taking going man that truck fired right up great vid 5/5 jeesh alot of packs theer on the pass door nice little truck
i have a 96 sonoma v6 sle power everythingh ext cab only thing missing is 4wd trucks runs perfect few repairs beside wearn tar.... strong engine and good fit n finish i looked around it no moulding edges oh an have 105000 miles not alot for the age
I have a 1998 Blazer and the Turn signal click definetly doesn't come from the passenger side speaker.....it comes from behind the Glovebox on the passenger side of the dash.
my buick 3.8 had that oil gague problem, except it went to max when u hit the gas. i was told this is normal, but i lost the motor due to bad pressure.
I've never been a fan of that body style, but its seems like a pretty nice little truck. I bet its thrifty with that 2.2. Decently quick also. Whoever bashes that little four cylinder probably has never driven something with the iron duke in the doghouse! They'd go bananas in five minutes. (But I'd never trade mine for another 'four... unless it was a Toyota 20R!)
2.2? thats alot alot truck for a small motor. I use to have a Ford Ranger 2.3 {reg cab} and I thought that thing was was underpowered. got the job done and loved it though.
my 6.2L diesel's oil presure gauge does the same thing. reads around30 psi idle rev it up and it runs over to 70 psi. and 14 seconds to get up to 60! that blows my 6.2 outa the water even with its turbo it only gets up to 60 in around 16. i dont like them 4 cylinder trucks they idle too fast for my liking. i prefer a 650-700 idle not a 1000 idle like that one
winddmmy That's cool. I got 252k on my Ford Expedition. Still though, statistically, GM cars and trucks are weaker than Ford. Sure, there are some exceptions, but... average...
