yep definitely familiar with that activity for the larger positions, which there aren't too many. i was mostly referring to droves of smaller trades going on.

@esInvests I have to believe it's not hard to set up an api with some kind of bot and have then put in a bunch of singular or small sized trades. Unless there is a law against it. (At least how I understand it) is that no one wants to get caught out or exposed for what moves they are making. Hence when DFV was putting through all of those 5k block call orders it was absolutely insane. And you especially don't want to get called out on all of these way out of the money calls when you are using it to hide (Maybe not hide, but for locates on) your illegal naked short position.

@@Peter-xk5iz I wager they'd be idiots to do it in large, recognisable amounts that followed a specific date cycle. He's analysing the data for large moves to find large entities, but that precludes that the large entity isn't wasting their own time/money trying to hide what they're doing -- which in most cases is a very safe assumption. Not so sure it's reliable for GME.

in a technical sense, there'd be little incentive to un-hedge early, just opens risk when they're already set to make money on the spread.

@@samkarat9400 That link is really simple and good info. He explains that he likes to buy further out options near the money so that they have low theta. That way there's less daily loss on the contract if the stock is not moving and you have a larger time frame for the price action you're betting in. He's not a YOLO guy.

I absolutely believe that’s part of it wrt locates, but a lot of these 1 lots are small traders hoping to hit the little. Even when institutions want to obfuscate their transactions, they still need to gain adequate size which simply is unachievable transacting at 1 lots.

@@esInvests thanks for reading and replying. Love your content btw. I was speaking to your comment at the beginning about low volume. It sounded like you think shorts could tank the stock today or yesterday. If they could they would. My previous comment was my speculation as to why they can’t get the price lower than it is. When they try to push it lower, another force must be at play. Also, I plan to play far OTM options on Monday. Not the $125 but I’m eyeing up the $50’s. Against your advice I know, but the risk/reward is worth it from my calculations.

@Decoding_Kitty got it, I’m following now. I actually was inferring the opposite wrt stock volume and the fact that volume is so low and yet price is NOT falling is very telling. Meaning the shorts are unable to move the price lower currently even thought they’re not competing against strong buying volume. As for the options - best of luck to you, I absolutely hope they pay out but you’re absolutely right. Not the trade I’d taken.

@@esInvests Not that you’re asking but to give you insight as to one of your followers thought process - this is a ticking time bomb. If my decoding skills are correct 7/9 could be the day. I already have ITM calls for 7/19. Now I’m using half my cash to buy as many lottery tickets as I can. Choosing a price that could be ITM if it hits. It hit $80 premarket and opened at $65. I expect this spike to be bigger than the previous two. If it hits, I’ll sell these calls and execute the ITM calls. If it doesn’t hit, I’ll roll my ITM calls out a little further and use the second half of my cash to try again. To anyone reading this. NFA. I eat crayons and lose sleep over memes.

yep - lots of things they can do to control their risk. however, there's no way to completely remove it either.

@@esInvests i'm not a professional mixer, but it seems to have peaks in lower freqs coming out boomy and hard to listen to at least on my setup, while other video's voices arent like that.

@@esInvests I recorded some audio and ran it through Audacity to see the Frequency Analysis. at 150 Hz is a huge mountain. Then i ran some EQ on it lowering the 125 and 160 sliders Audacity provides on the graphic EQ and it sounds so much better.
