I’m wanting to hook up a stedi push light switch for my needs, could you assist by providing information on where I could tap into the wiring for the light circuit? Ie I driving lights or internal dash lights? I Thanks for the info on the accessories fuse I’m doing the same setup. Great videos’s.

Hi Adam, great video aaaaaaaaaand so well explained. Cheers for that. I was ready to pay an auto sparky $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ because I wasn't ready to start destroying my 2022 DMax. Your video is a game changer and gave me the inspiration to "have a go" as I usually do the little jobs myself. I am having a bullbar fitted at the end of May, any tips about getting the coax through the firewall would be greatly appreciated mate. I read that you said passenger side grommet, possibly some more description or even a photo would be awesome. Thanks for your channel and informative descriptions. Hey mate, thanks! Comments like yours are the whole reason I do this :) Re the coax, best spot for the firewall passenger's side, soo much easier as is just the standard rubber grommet, the one on the other side I found to be a pain to get back together. If you watch one of the recent vids like the dual camera's or the spot lights it shows this.
Hi Adam, I enjoy you content and your production quality. I’m thinking of routing the coaxial cable straight forward from the cabin vent to the arm rest. Was there a reason you took it all the way around, under the trim pieces and the seat, verses the more direct route? Am I missing something? P.S. Thanks for the link. The MaxPro Floor Mats 3D fit and work a treat, Fitted them yesterday.
Was tricky to get under the carpet, particularly where the storage bits are under the rear seats. Will revisit at some point though as that was my preference too 👍
Hey Adam love you work have done a few of your mods thanks heaps for you video`s, My aerial keeps coming loose I've mounted mine on the bull bar any suggestions to tighten and keep it that way would be greatly appreciated cheers
Hi Adam. Thanks for all of your videos (and the chance to mimic)! My DMax will be a tow vehicle for a caravan. I’m going to install the same GMC unit as you have. My questions are: 1. Does the 2.1db aerial give you the communication range you expected (in ‘touring-type’ conditions)? 2. Does mounting the aerial at the rear of the DMax give you the communication range you expected (in touring-type conditions)? 3. When towing a caravan (or with the “roof” mounted tent) does a rear mounted aerial give you the communication range you expected (in touring-type conditions)? 4. I am not wedded to a rear mount aerial; is a bonnet mount the same or better for communication range (in your opinion)? Thanks Adam, I really appreciate your time to these things! Ian

Another excellent video. Once I get my 2022 I was going to mount the antenna up under the bonnet near the window, but I wasn't aware you could put it in the back. Totally changed my plans. I have watched all your videos and have finally bit the bullet and subscribed so I don't miss anything. Cheers.
Nice vid as always mate. FYI for you, no need to remove a fuse to test it, the two little metal exposures on the top of the fuse are each side of the fuse, you will get the same result there. They're for quick measuring to see if a fuse is blown where its hard to tell from viewing.
Hi Adam, Do you find the pass-through gets dusty/dirty if not used for a while? I'm thinking of doing the same but maybe adding a dummy plug to the pass-through for when not in use... your thoughts? Thanks Brian
Another amazing video as always! I have to say though that outbackequipment is expensive. The GME Passthrough for UHF is over $20 more than the manufacturer what’s the go with that

Hi, have just tested and can confirm if handset is either turns off or unplugged there is negligible current draw (same as at the fuse) eg to answer your question - 'no'. For interest, the unit appears to draw ~0.25-~0.30amps when on and rx; ~1.1amps when tx

Neat job... ive got the GME TX 3100 ive got to install once i get my bull bar on. Not too shure where to mount it, as its not like yours that i can hide in the console. But i still should be able to use the fuse box conection set up...yes?

Hey Adam, do you know what size the channel on the roller shutter is?? Looking at putting the GME folding bracket in there (as i have a taller antenna) - but not sure if it bolt into one of the channel bolts

Yeah worked fine there, have since moved to a bonnet mount bracket. Sure you'd prob get better again above the roof line but for general trip/4x4 duties worked fine

Just a quick question with the placement of your aerial…how have you found it in that spot from a broadcasting perspective ie sending and receiving? As I’m planning on doing the same thing as I won’t be getting a bull-bar…and is there any concerns or pressure on the track itself? Keep up the great videos 👍
Cheers. Has been fine there on the trips I've done, used to run behind the rear tyre on the Jeep without issue for years (even less of a plane for tx/rx). Bracket etc has been fine too and hasn't needed re-tightening etc, use nylocs and you'll be fine. I am considering sourcing a thicker bracket, the gme one isn't too bad but I'd like it to be a bit less bendy

Yep still in place with original tape. Used the extreme outdoor stuff link in description. Wax and grease remover on the spot first, then stick leave for a few hrs, the mag mount leave overnight before mounting mic
Hey mate, the t bolts you used for mounting the antenna bracket, do you happen to know the sizes and do you get them from Bunnings? Probably a dumb question but I’ve got no idea 😅
I used some leftover from the Rhino vortex bars install I did. I'll try and find excactly which ones they were and update the description wiht the part. You need to get the skinny ones as the 'normal' sized ones that are about 20mm won't fit the mountain top roller cover :(
Hey Mate, great videos thanks for your help. Looking at doing the same for my dmax. It looks like Isuzu have used that 15amp Fuse as a piggy back already for brake controller. What other Fuse can I use. Thanks
There's a few options there mate, suggest starting with the 'spare fuse' if not used already. Otherwise any of the 10amp ones will be fine with the piggy back

With a ground plane independent aerial like the one you are using, comments such as the best mounting position is in the middle of the bonnet or roof is bad advice. Someone might actually take you seriously!
Is there a small draw from the radio unit under the centre console when the hand piece isnt plugged in? Could see the battery going if it's parked up a while with that!
Oh really? I'm a few weeks in, so far so good. I've had issues with tape before when there's been protection on the dash before, I used that orange power stuff just in that area now to remove anything before sticking. Seems to do the job. If this stuff fails I've got some of that extreme outdoor stuff from Bunnings, I'm sure that will do the job lol

Just watched a video on the xrs connect - manufacturers indicate a 0.5 amp draw on standby - don’t know if that’s with handset connected on standby or if it powers off when you remove it like you do!! I’ll know when I install mine in a month
