GMOD VR: Hell's Resort HD (Horror Map) 

This is way calmer than his other one that is just called Hell's Resort that was released in 2012. Recommend you check that one out as the scares are way less subtle. There is a screamer at the devil's flower staircase. A different layout too. This is his remastered version.

God I still remember Vanoss playing this map with his friends, good times.

Hell’s Resort, a childhood banger indeed. I’m very impressed with the HD remaster, managed to find all 5 secret stones on my 1st try, surprisingly.

the SKILL, the FINESSE, in dodging that JPEG. Truly these maps are embedded into your bloodstream at this point.

Officer Flatsceen is the hero we deserve.

It is actually a very good precaution to not have everyone step in an old full size freezer at the same time. People have actually died because they accidentally ended up locked in one. This was before it became law that all freezers or refrigerators that a person can walk into have to have a way to open them from the inside.

He is very good at looking up frequently, people rarely look up, there could be a spider above someone, and they wouldn't even know

I think sometimes these games start out with the campy over the top vibe just to kind of disarm you you're expecting jumpscares but not actual fear and then the game can get subtly more and more serious as time goes on making everything land even more because of the contrast

Wow this map is way different than the original, this isn't just HD this is a full remaster.

Please do more horror exploration maps in VR, it’s so fun to be entranced in the immersion with you.

I remember Vanoss and Venturiantale play this a long time ago.. good to see it get an HD remaster

When I saw the thumbnail for this it brought me so much joy because this takes me way back to the beginning of me using RU-vid. This map is the reason I found Markiplier since CaptainSparklez collabed with him. If it weren’t for that, I probably never would have found out about Gmod or the Vanoss crew as a whole. Hell, if it weren’t for this map, I wouldn’t have made this comment in the first place.

Hells Resort is a classic horror map. I remember VenturianTale playing it and it made my childhood

My recommendation: Use weaponsets. Weaponsets can override the spawn pblockers.

7:09 this sound usually happens when gmod cant load a sound that comes with the game right, you might need to verify integrity of your files if you got some sort of replacement mod and uninstalled it

Ah the map with the most notable thing about it being the PNG jumpscare.

It's pretty enterprising that you're using your VR for your Garry's Mod explorations because it feels so comfortable and realistic i can't also believe your channel is growing up faster. you should also try looking for some new equipments that is useful in explorations, Oh, and you might wanna do some valuable information about the old RP maps of GMod that was explained on GMod iceberg or the old nostalgic videos of the game from the late 2000's there's a very creepy detail here and have a good day

I love how Hells Resort doesn’t rely too heavily on jump scares in order to scare the player. The atmosphere and ambiance is already enough to make you paranoid because when its quiet you expect things to pop out.

Before I ever heard about Vanoss playing this map, I used to watch a small channel called Gamesomeness. They used to play alot of scary gmod maps and full playlist of like a hundred or so videos dedicated to playing maps that id used to always watch through in its entirety, they also played this map on one of their videos. Sad though as their channel closed in 2015.

Fun Fact: The Black Bug thing is actually the Crab Synth. It originally was meant to be a fully functional npc, but ended up being a background npc instead. You can find the Original Model in your Gmod files.

Please explore the map "gm mountain resort", it's a house map with a river and it has an insane amount of detail and interactability and I think you would enjoy exploring it.

That mess around the toilet at 30:40 is disgusting, excellent touch of detail!

The creepiest thing to me in any game is having npcs or vaguely alive things that look extremely gross or threatening and having to move directly past them while they just look at you. Random npc that do nothing but look at you is actually a very strong horror thing for me, just some dude squatting in a corner when ur in a horror situation, it makes no sense and you don’t know anything about the person so ur just unnerved by their presence

I've played this map multiple times and I introduced my friends to this map and was waiting for them to trigger the jumpscares and it's so funny but really good map I aint played in a while and some of the jumpscares in this vid got me too. Great Video!

A certified gmod classic

Right as the first jumpscare (I.E. Spikes, not elaborating further due to spoilers) I was cracking my knuckles and jumped, and that made me crack all of my knuckles in fucking record time.

Happy 100k my guy. joined a bit late but your content is amazing. loved the imscared episode XD, it was one of the moments I've actually seen you scared + i almost shit my pants at 2:00:05 wen the white face did the spooky sensory overload thing. and the convenience store episode, it felt very good and i wasn't bored by the night walk at all, i also think is an interesting idea. The g mod maps always have that vibe. Keep the amazing work and i hope you reach 500k soon !

The so called "black snow scientist" is a model reused from Left 4 Dead. I saw a lot of models and textures from Left 4 Dead in this map. The intro stinger that played was from Hl2 when you escape Ravenholm and leave Grigori behind.

he missed the crowbar... in the toilet room there is a hatch you can open but you need a crate to get in there. then there is a crowbar in the far right corner and then the lock breaks when you hit it.

Hi I've seen in the past that you've had some trouble before with locked doors that can't be opened. I suggest you install the sonic screwdriver addon by divided and also i suggest you install the sonic screwdriver pack and the sonic screwdriver extension so there are more options on style. I hope this was helpful.
