Gneisenau BEAST AA vs 2 CV's 

for me the Scharnhorst performs better but gneisenau is not bad either just dont like the guns

Well it is a Russian game! Lol But yes the German tech tree in general is overlooked! That’s the reason why I kept all German ships tier III and above. So overlooked and underrated, while the American and Japanese lines are very overrated with so many ships!

I ve got tirpitz and for me is ok. But it needs a resistance buff to the torps because they are knocked out easy

If you aim for the center of broadside, the 2 shells of same turret would land in front of bow and behind stern.........garbage dispersion..... but really beautiful ship.

Yeah they used her as a block ship against the Russians. Such a sad fate. It would have been more honorable if she fell in battle with a last stand against the British and Americans. The same goes for Tirpitz too Instead of being capsized in a fjord.

VietcongHere2banzai yeah Kriegsmarine called her the “lucky” Scharnhorst for a reason. She fought the most battles out of the four main German capital battleships. She also “survived” all the battles up until the Battle of the north cape. I mean Bismarck too did good, but was suck too soon. She probably would have sunk many more ships if she had made it back to port after she sunk the hood.

honestly they just need to buff AA so flying in without taking any precautions destroys the flight group. it wont help against anyone worth their shit in a CV but it would help with the brain dead ones

@@arongaspar2529 oi man if you hate CV play them then you understand the pain of CV and how to counter them As an example I was in a BB using the knowledge of CV. I track plane, estimate where is CV, and evade the bomb and torp just to kill a good CV player and turn the tide of battle

Its a modification called Aslain. You have to update the mod every time the game updates though. Do not worry about viruses I have been using it the past several months.

Tilly Tilford at Tier 6 being a CV is tough, at T4 you basically go seal clubbing, T8 is hard but too hard if you know what you are doing, and at T10 you can target whoever you want

If anything, it's the other way around

In terms of Aiming, what troubles you most? Is it leading targets, hitting certain sections, or ammo-type usage? As for the positioning, I would greatly reccomend iChase's BB positioning guide ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NYZl9k-yi34.html for general knowledge, as well as a few personal tips: In the Gnies, you do not want to always charge forward. At the start of the battle, go at 3/4ths speed to whatever flank you are supporting, until the actual engagement begins. You'll want to position yourself slightly closer than normal with other BBs, since you want to maximize damage from your low number of guns, but be prepared to turn tail and run if larger ships appear. (For example, if a Sovjetzky Soyuz and a Massachusetts start pushing into your flank, you do not stand a chance. Run.) This sort of falls in the aiming category, but in the Gniesenau, and many other later KM Battleships, your primary target is cruisers and broadsiding battleships. Your guns load and turn faster than other BBs, but have average accuracy, and with 6 guns, it hurts badly when you miss. Honestly, iChase's "How to Get Good" tutorial series and Yuro's H-Classe video can explain it pretty well. Just take note, Yuro does make quite a bit of jokes about the BBs, and the video is a few months old, so do take things like neglecting secondary builds with a grain of salt (I do have a secondary spec (along another with a tank build) captain on my German BBs, and ever since 9.2, you don't need IFHE for those builds), and secondary battleships can be quite fun in the right situation. Remember, you're already doing the best thing for yourself by looking for help, and I cannot stress how important that is when learning a ship. The KM BB line is one of my favorites, the FDG was my first T9. TLDR: - iChase's tutorials and Yuro's H-classe video - Don't go full throttle at the start - Hang back between cruisers and BBs - Focus broadsides - Don't be afraid to retreat P.s. Use the grey torpedo bar to see if the ships are slowing down, speeding up, or turning

Remember that German battleships are brawler, you ambush others at close range if you can.

Don't even bother aiming with KM BB

USA cruisers are good ships for setting fires and hunting DDs (Worcester being better than Des Moines), Russian BBs are quite good overall with almost no weak points, the Japanese destroyers and carriers are solid too Hope this helps

up to 3 cv's in match before 0.9.2, up to 2 now, but with high online most of battles even on tier 4 will now go with only 1 cv per team. If not enough players for matchmaker, then more CV's will be in battle

@@Georgejmh apparently the gneisenau is equipped with the 3x2 380mm she was supposed to get during the war, but the project was cancelled.The scharnhorst is equipped with the original 3x3 280mm. This way both ships are different and unique, so that people will still have a reason to buy the scharnhorst. And it gives us a chance to see how the new version of the gneisenau would have looked like if the plans were actually carried out.

Afton Farza It’s actually good if you play it differently, try to use it like it’s a heavy cruiser except it’s a big and powerful one and use it to hunt DDs, CAs and CLs. Also a good brawler with its secondaries and torps

Afton Farza Oh yeah, don’t forget that when going against other BBs you get close and try not to expose your side too much as you have weak horizontal armor and can get cracked open like an egg from a well placed shot.

And? All Kriegsmarine ship have it. I don't see the problem. I know what's you mean but think of it. USA flag represent all states of this country. And a lot of them in history use slave and make genocide of local population. So is it for you more normal to see this flag than Nazi one? I can do the same for a all of country in this game so what? You will ask Wargaming to delete all country flag? Nazi flag is unfortunately part of history. Of course everyone wish this period never exist but it will be always only a wish. Have it in a game not means the player or the game are pro nazi. Every country in history did ( and probably will do again ) something very bad. The only thing to do is to try to learn the lesson of history and try to never make it again.
