This was ripped down from a 2 hour sermon. If you have contentions or questions about what is said here, maybe it would be best to investigate more of what we have to offer and say at our church, then just immediately assume something that might need further clarification. We discuss these kinds of topics EVERY Sunday and have books, documentaries and the like available at our website: www.gnosticacademy.org For those repeatedly claiming, I said that Christians believe Satan created the earth, listen closely. I said "some people" and was specifically addressing people who were making the claims that our entire experience in the material world here is one created by a demiurgic force and that Satan is akin to this creative force. And there are loads of these folk. This is what I was specifically addressing. God bless and thanks for watching.

Anecdotally speaking, my life has felt like one test after another. Always giving me the test before the lesson. I definitely identify with The Heroes Journey. Theologically, cosmologically, and morally, there is no shortage of theories about our existence that I find interesting. Though, it does seem that no matter who is speaking on behalf of any given deity, everyone says that everyone else's belief system is "fundamentally flawed" for one reason or another. As a seeking Agnostic, I'll subscribe and keep watching. Maybe this will be the theory that has zero logical fallacies or the theory that convinces me to abandon reason altogether; the one tool that distinguishes me from the animals.

I have issues with "brother" Pike. I'm not arguin with what you read, but other stuff I've heard of him was not so palatable. I guess one can drink of dirty vessel if one is careful not to swallow the filth. Then again, what do I really know? I'm just a guy searching, and I've been mistaken many times before.

I started believing in God when I realized that evil existed when I was on LSD and the “spirituality” I fell into was the internet Gnosticism you’re describing where you literalize the demiurge and believe God is evil and it made my mental health terrible. I abandoned that belief and got super into Christian new thought and Kabbalah and now I realize that Gnosticism is just the same “knowledge of self” that every esoteric system seeks to unfold. I identify with that label again now that I actually understand it. Good video buddy. The internet gnostics need this.

Lord is the divine spark within man. He has the free will to do what he wishes with that divine spark so thus he creates evil. Hunting and pecking Bible verses when you do not know what the basic terms mean is not a good look.

@@gnosticacademy Look I'm not here to argue semantics. In the end result if God is all and in all then it's only logical to assume that all things came into being through that divine source. I can see your point as I am the Lord in me. but the divine spark cannot be put in box and seen as only something that man has the power to create within.

SO glad you made this video, more and more people are taking this path. It's easy, you can just say it's all a prison, all good is illusion, you don't really have to do anything to evolve because it's pointless and on and on. I can see how a person who has had a rough life would want to take this off ramp and just coast and blame the big bad demiurge but it's yet another detour off the path of true oneness and our soul evolution. In The Secret Book of John, the Savior gives the best description of God the Father, as distinct of the demiurge, Yahweh/Elohim, who masquerades as god in the Old Testament, and who constantly demands sacrifice; in particular, child sacrifice.

For people that say reincarnation is a prison or some trap, its contradictory to then complain about life because failure is your actual prison. Your inability to get what you want is simply an inability, you can always work on that.

God in this context is the "Elohim", which is a plurality, so more accurately it is constitutionally a constellation whereto God is but some distribution of council counsel console and not a Him or It removed but a Those - a Them characteristic Deistic not a He. The differentiation is lost but important and otherwise the Substance gets contaminated.

Sir, the only Gnostic text in which the Demiurge is not Evil is the Pistis Sophia, I think it's worth exploring.

@@gnosticacademy Oh, forget about it, just watch a video explanation, I forgot it's also the longest and most complicated Gnostic text, it's so borderline unreadable the academics barely touch it, it's an intimidating text, I'm actually a Buddhist and I'm not big into Gnosticism (because dualism bad) but I find the topic very interesting, if the Secret Book of John is the easiest and most interesting to read then the Pistis Sophia is the most dense, boring and complicated of the Gnostic texts, also a big difference with other Gnostic texts is that Yaldabaoth is not seen as the creator of the material realm but as some kind of trickster-satan figure posing as God.

Marty, God created Eden in Eden, God created the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Which had 2 nature's, Good and Evil, which is unnatural to begin with, it was the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Since God does not create something that's unnatural. Then good and evil is something that is not 2 different things, but the same. It's one thing good and evil (is it bi polar?) I say it's talking about one's Virtuous nature and one's sinful nature. The snake was not a material thing, its foubd within us. The garden of Eden is within. The snake is symbolic of the first Chakra. The hellish realm or one's sinful nature. And eve partook in that, as did Adam. This is why they were expelled from paradise, the way to go back to paradise is to kill our sinful nature, just like in the icon of Saint George when he's on a white horse with a dragon underneath and the Virgin Mary sitting somewhere watching all the time. We all need to conquer our sinful nature and live in a virtuous nature.When we do, we probably might not reincarnate again. However, if we continue to Act in sinful nature, we just might reincarnate again and what happens when we don't reincarnate? Well, we have the Golden Gate and the Silver gate. We go through one of them when we die, right, depending on if we're virtuous or not or sinful or not. That's why people say it's a prison. And you say something different in this video? If people see reincarnation as a prison state, aren't they right? And if we live a virtuous life, we could escape this earthly realm. Am I wrong? What do you say?

You will find that nobody believes reincarnation state is prison, the only prison is that they're tired of failing. Sometimes people fail because they cant stop praying at the alter of the very demons God doesnt align with, like ego, pride for their want to be seen favorably by others, list goes on. If they can fix what they're clearly discontent with, they wouldnt even speak about this 'prison'.

I live in the dirty crime infested Bronx and I cant comprehend God creating a more beautiful looking Earth, I legitimately cannot. I say that to say, all that we classify as bad can have good extracted from it. When you realize this, see the perfect balance; harmony, you will internalize peace. You will feel so light on your feet too. We have to find the kingdom within and do so by ridding ourselves of vices, especially resentment that moves us farther and farther from Eden. Cain complained about being moved further away from God after murdering Abel.

@@gnosticacademy Sin is disobedience to God, the "Serpent" demonstrated to us that Eve had doubt, doubting God's athority, as well as ambition to be like the most high through her disobedience. Her ego was on full display before eating the fruit. Again, you can only act out whats already in you. The fruit was a prop, as was the serpent. We all have intrusive thoughts.

@@kimbronun6649They ate the fruit THEN had the knowledge of Good and Evil. They didn't know evil before. That's how the whole thing works and is explicit in the Bible (Gen 3:22). The reason an animal or reptile/serpent is posing the offer is to show that this "evil" was not inherent in the progeny of all mankind, i.e. Adam and Eve. This myth is to show that men can listen to a lower animal nature as opposed to God. This animal nature IS NOT evil until man aligns with it and agrees to "listen to it". Eve's sin was a sin of the unknown so that man could eventually enter the "unknown", i.e. . Mysterious world we habit. Their innocence was perverted by listening to the serpent and not the word of God. This mistake shows no inherent evil within Adam and Eve, both being simply tricked and naive - not inherently wicked. We all have been tricked into countless things, especially when we were young, that had us choosing degredation as opposed to illumination, completely unbeknownst to us, and no inherent evil was in us in order to go along with these programs. Adam and Eve's situation is much the same. And our continued focus on listening to our animal natures, as opposed to God's will, is what keeps us here.

@@gnosticacademy Knowledge of good and evil is only knowledge to obey or disobey, nothing else. GOD told them not to, so they were created knowing disobedience. There are passages where God even says he wills what we will.

@@kimbronun6649 Knowledge and action are two different things. God OBVIOUSLY created them KNOWING they were gonna fall. That is why he set the thing up in the first place. God decided to make this creation. So God told them not to and they disobeyed. Just like a child may disobey the commandment of a mother or father. If the father says don't touch the stove cause it's hot and the child does it anyway, was this "evil"? Is this child evil? Or is the child naive? Misguided? Learning? Ignorant? Testing boundaries he doesn't yet understand? It is much easier to assign ignorance and naivety to the heavenly progeny in this case because they are considered pure in their state in paradise... or that is VIRGIN, and hence "child-like". This original sin has much more to do with the notion of presenting a story in which man falls from grace and must learn the lessons from his fall, lessons in his own ignorance, lessons of his bafoonery of not listening to the divine, then it is to point to this event and call it pure evil. That is my two cents.

What "Christian" believes that the Scriptures say Satan is "god of this world"?! I've never met one who think that's what it means... One has a "divine spark" if that person is indweled by 'the Spirit of Adoption'. HE is The Light and The Source and The Truth. That's why it is only through The Son that one becomes a son of God (theosis). Churches tend to miss the beginning point of this process: the death part (Galatians 2:19-20). They know the verse, but they haven't REALized the concept in its fulness and depth.

I never said "Christians". I said "some people read the bible" and am responding to critics of Christianity. I'm also referring to people who equate the demiurge with satan and then believe he is the creator of our entire experience.
