Any chance to some Sims reviews? Not Never Summer anymore, but I believe they are now made by a japanese brand?... I am very curious about them. The NS ones were phenomenal.
They said they would send some boards but never did. Only got a little time on the Nub and UAV but never posted a review. Initial take on both were fun. Less damp and flexy vs the NS made ones but very easy to pop.
I have to disagree with your constant criticism of how a GNU has a flow base. Maybe out the box but after 2nd or maybe 3rd wax it's no issue. I ride with heavier riders on jones boards waxed same day with no disadvantage.
I'm glad they work for you but my criticism comes from extensive testing and comparing over the last 15 years with over 22 Mervin (Gnu & Lib) boards that I owned or tested for several months to a few years that I consistently waxed. On the same day/same run/same wax comparisons to similar design and size boards, they were slower than most of their peers. Many friends who work in shops, and often test and compare like I do say the same thing. Mervin/Gnu/Lib makes great boards, and this Antigravity is a favorite on our site, but the base glide is just not one of their strong points.
