I'm so glad this was helpful! It really felt like 1) arrive in the city 2) do a quick tour 3) free for the rest of the day to do whatever you want or do their excursions. So I didn't feel rushed! If you have the resources, I would definitely try and do more time in fewer countries vs. hopping around. You'll have more time to relax and explore beyond the touristy spots. Have fun!!!

I would definitely recommend something like Remote Year (use my referral code if you do 😏) which is specifically people who are traveling solo but want the community, and groups are folks in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and my group even had folks in their 60s!

Yes, I think they're the same. I really liked the structure they provided, especially as it was our first time doing lengthy international travel. I wouldn't go through them again because I have enough experience traveling that I think I could do it on my own. What's worth the price is having someone to answer all your questions, give you great recommendations, and plan events and excursions if you don't want to deal with the logistics yourself.

I had asked them this same question ultimate caters to 18 to 28 yrs olds cheaper more basic accommodation ie hostels etc and tours that suit individuals in that age group, go ahead for 29yr old and up

I think you have to pay more if you're alone, with the three of us we split the extra cost since there wasn't a fourth, but it also meant occasionally getting our own room. I think if you exercise caution you'll be just fine. Hope you get to travel soon!

It depends on how much you will eat out, travel beyond what's included, and do local excursions. Try researching the restaurants, train prices, etc. for guidance!

I haven't heard of that program but I wonder if it attracts a younger crowd. This program had a mix of families plus a ton of older folks, 40 and up.

@@chimdi ya the ef ultimate break is for people 18-29 year olds. I have not heard the ef go ahead probably because I’m younger. But I did want to travel with family so this might be a option to look into in the future.

There are a lot of pairs of people and they charge more for single travelers. I would recommend a program that specializes in "nomads" or it's a retreat. I've done a few and people are normally by themselves and they are excited to connect and build community and there's a lot of love.

@@anoncrazynonevilgooddecent7631 I mean EF the program, three of us went so we had to split the costs of the rooms since they're priced for pairs. I did a week long yoga retreat in Costa Rica and traveled with Remote Year, which does monthly programs too. Once you start Googling you'll get ads for even more. My college even had travel programs for alumni. I would focus on an identity "nomads", "Black men", etc. or an activity (yoga, meditation, workout, etc.) plus the word travel and you'll find people who are passionate about that thing but chill enough to have the money/time to explore a country and make friends. I still talk to people from both programs too! Good luck, you're going to have a great time!

They charge you more for a single room, so I would do something like Remote Year instead. But Go Ahead is great because they have planned things you can do with the group but also time to explore on your own!

There was a basic tour of the city that was included but then extras like the catacombs, Vatican City, etc. were additional. The ones we paid for were fantastic!

Most people were grouped in some way and I think they charge you a "single occupancy fee" if you're by yourself. Try Remote Year, they have week to year long programs and attract mostly solo travelers! I have a discount code in my bio if you end up signing up with them 🤗
