Moisturiser Bars
Ingredients
¼ cup Lavender infused olive oil or olive oil
¼ cup Shea butter
¼ cup grated Beeswax or Candelilla wax
2 tbsp Coconut oil
Lavender and Clary Sage essential oil
Directions
Heat shea butter, beeswax, and coconut oil in a double boiler over low heat until melted.
Remove from heat and add in the strained lavender-infused olive oil and the essential oils then stir to combine.
Pour the warm, melted mixture into molds or anything you have on hand.
Allow to cool for at least 1 hour then remove from molds and enjoy for up to a year.
Tinted Lip Balm
Ingredients
2 teaspoon Ground Beetroot
Pinch of Ground Cinnamon
2 tablespoon Almond oil
1 teaspoon Shea butter
1 tablespoon grated Beeswax or Candelilla wax
⅛ teaspoon Vitamin E oil
Upcycled Jar
Directions
Heat the almond oil in a double boiler over low heat, and add the beetroot and cinnamon. Adjust the time of infusion based on the richness of color you would like.
Infuse the oil for at least 30-40 minutes.
In a double boiler, combine shea butter and beeswax over low heat, stir until it's completely melted. After the butter and wax have melted, add the infused oil.
Remove from the heat and allow to cool, then stir in the vitamin E oil.
Pour into up cycled jar and allow to cool and firm.
Ginger Honey
Ingredients
1/3 cup thinly sliced fresh ginger root
1 cinnamon stick
1 cups water
½ cup local honey
Directions
Combine ginger, cinnamon stick, and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and allow to simmer until the liquid has reduced by about half (about 25 minutes)
Strain out the ginger and stir the syrup in the honey.
Store in a glass jar in the fridge and enjoy!
