What a lovely piece of film.., This for me is why is why the reach of you tube is so great .. often artists skills get lost in the overall picture of a famous band . This shows what a talented and endearing performer Jane is ..great band in this too .. if they toured .. I’d go see them
Really cool for her to play a great venue like this to see her. And it was fun to hear her do a fan favorite. She has a great voice. Her harmonies made the Go-Go's great. (Not to mention her playing, as well as all the others.) And she's a classy lady. I wish her and her bandmates success and health and happiness! And she never looked better!
Here she proves she doesn’t need the GoGos practically with a bass player and drummer. She wrote their massive hit Our Lips are Sealed. I didn’t know this until recently. So I like her even more because that is one of their best songs. It’s their biggest hit. So Jane is a huge part of the the GoGos success. Go Jane Go! 👏🏻🎸😎
Hahaha..right on bro, read my mind. I was thinking the EXACT same thing just the other day. Jane WAS/(is) the Go Gos. Just like John Lennon WAS the Beatles and Jack Bruce WAS the Cream. Good one pal.
Induct these talented musicians song writers into Rock Roll Hall of Fame!!! 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸❤ Friendly reminder that when you say ignorant things about women in power, they don't hear you. But your daughters do. Your mother does. Your sisters hear you. Your nieces hear you too. 😘
The drummer, Betty, did some Go Gos inspired artwork, and this small Ft. Myers, FL college displayed her collection in its art gallery. This was the opening of her exhibit, and Jane held a mini-concert in the gallery.!
Seriously - next time the Go-Go's need a fill-in for Gina, get this woman Beatriz. She more than holds her own here! (Meanwhile, she could be the engine behind a fantastic tribute band.) (No knock on the very capable bass player, but the drum work here is all snap, crackle, and pop. And Jane, of course, is veteran precision; hard to believe that she once didn't know how to play.)
Hey--I work at a small college in Florida; we have an auditorium; our students and faculty would be super-stoked to see this show--what would it take to get Ms. Wiedlin and her crew to my school?! :o)
Yeah, it must suck being able to see a great musician in an intimate venue. So much better in a stadium where the sound gets to you a few seconds after they've actually played it.
I've always thought Jane would be a far, far better lead vocalist for the GO GO's. Nothing against Belinda, I just think Jane fits the bill better. =M=
It was so silly that the band refused to let Jane sing on "Talk Show." Lots of bands share lead vocals--Fleetwood Mac, B-52s, even REM to some extent. What was the big goddamn deal?
