Hi! I’ve been learning a lot from your videos. Thank you! A couple questions - what are the light power settings on your strobes, and where do you buy your props to decorate your scenes?
Hey Nathifa! I may do one in the future 😊 Some prop resources and suppliers like the blocks are reserved for my students inside Become A Brand Photographer as I’ve spent a lot of time researching and digging around the internet to work out where to get props from. 😊
What a video, thanks for sharing your go-to backdrops. We have been doing research for our free props video and accidentally found you! Keep up the good work
Damn girl. Your video are brilliant and super generous with all the knowledge you share. Third consistent video I am watching of yours and so helpful. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey Amanda, so impressed with your work ethic and professionalism. Quick question... I’m currently setting up my tethering system with cable to macbook. Please, is that a tethering receiver you have connected to your laptop? I’m in Sydney and use Hypop for a lot of gear. Where do I get this from in Oz? Love your work ❤
Hey Farah! Club Backdrops is in the UK and ships internationally. Everyday Co also ship internationally so just double check they ship to your country. I'm not aware of any local backdrop stores in Jordan though.
It’s not enough natural light for the style of product photography I do. My windows are also tinted blue which puts a blue hue on my scene. I find I can get much better results using studio lighting.
Thank you. I am glad I found you as I've learnt much I can use in trading my own product photos. Most of my products are already colourful (kids handmade soft toys via Platypus Creations) so some of your backgrounds won't work for me. Do you have any suggestions for me and others like me that have multiple colours in our products?
Hey Michelle! I would focus on creating a primary colour palette. 2-3 primary colours that will form the foundation of your brand. You can then focus on using these colours as plain backgrounds in your photoshoots to create a cohesive look 😊
great stuff thanks for sharing - ive been looking for some lightweight type blocks like you have found there I want to use for putting shoes on - are they polystyrene and wonder where you find these my searches are not finding yet!
Love your channel and thanks for sharing those tips. :) May I ask what's the power setting on FV when you use it? Can that be two SL60 to achieve what you are doing? (if for video), thank you!
I started my own business and am looking for a photographer but it would probably be thousands so I think it will be a long time before I can afford it 😔 but I'm hoping that day will come 🙂
This was really so informative and helpful , you explained every aspect of it so beautifully , I immediately subscribed . I am not a photographer but I am gonna watch all your videos from now on to gain some knowledge on this topic 😊❤️
Being a freelance retoucher for 3 years I decided to dive into product photography because I enjoy retouching products the most. My home studio is almost set up and pretty soon I’m going to put everything I’ve learned from you into practice. Thank you Amanda!
In 12:18 , you have a a reflective sheet or frame, which gives it a nice bottom reflection. What is that called exactly and what type of shop would have that?
The light on the left side without the softbox is it lighting on the product or the on the white background? Would be nice if you could say something to the lighting setup, because your pictures always look clear white, which is great
Hey Yassin! This one is lighting both the product and background. I do have a video on lighting on my RU-vid 😊 Using a larger softbox will spread light further onto your scene. My other light with no softbox is also illuminating my background. I often shoot now one light with softbox and one without.
Hi Amanda, I found your video reference from @Aileen Chois as she mention your channel for Product shoot, she has mention that she learned so much from your videos. your way of explaining is amazing and photography you do is amazing. but most amazing thing, where I can't stop looking at is your Canines. ;)
Hi Amanda, I just wanna say that you are so creative and I love your content, Ive been doing product photography for about a month now, and I think Ive improved by watching your videos. Can you judge or criticize my work on instagram @swatchedbylursey it would mean a lot to me love you 😘
Amanda how do you get a job being product photographer? Did you started with webside or social media to get people to know you? I do some of this stuff and post it on IG and tag brands.
I was just about to say the very same thing! I have sharp teeth too but dang these beat mine! Great video of course and meant the teeth thing in a positive manner, I think they’re cool and wish they were more like hers too 😅
