At the end the end of the video where the aerial shot of Elizabeth west I see a vacant block which became Elizabeth west - Edinburgh North bus Depot

I remember that Geoff. I lived on Tudor Crescent in Smithfield Plains, and just beyond that T junction at the end of Peachey was a huge paddock with trees that magpies used to nest their young in every year. We called it Maggie season. We would go there and dare each to walk up to the tree then run back to the group knowing the magpie would swoop. Poor thing. I remember one time the magpie pecking my mate on the head and blood streaming down his face while he wailed in shock and pain. Good times :-)

Hello Rob. Actually, I live in Brisbane. I moved here in 2005. I have watched some of your videos, mate. Nice work.

@@elizabeththatwas That's interesting. You are still making videos about Elizabeth but doing so from Brisbane?

@@walkaboutwithrob that's correct. I return to SA regularly, however. The channel started as a surprise even to myself. I returned for a visit back around 2018 and found childhood friends homes knocked down, my old high and primary schools boarded up and vandalised. Many parts and old buildings in derelict condition. So I decided to make a few tribute videos to begin with in an attempt to honour the people who seem to have been forgotten by their local leaders, then branched out into more documentary style stuff.

I totally agree Elizabeth is the scum of the earth!...when I was 9 yrs old back in the late 1970's walking back home on my own I witness a crime scene murder of a young girl found in a storm water drain on midway rd south downs.I was sexually assaulted by a older teen boy and my father was an alcoholic domestic abuser on me and my siblings and my mother didn't do nothing about it. Yeah great memories of the past...same as you when i was old enough I just got the hell out of there and restarted a pretend new life in Queensland.
