Patal Bhaji is a mix of potato and white peas bhaji(vegetable) curry. It can be had either with puris or bread.
I was browsing to check if there were any Goan mix patal bhaji recipes, but could only find potato or chana bhaji . As I wasn't able to find any mix patal bhaji recipes online, I decided to upload mama's recipe. So, I guess this is the first mix patal bhaji recipe .
For the White Peas Peas Curry (Chanyachi bhaji)
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 Cup White Peas
1/2 tsp Black Peppercorns
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
1/2 tsp Fennel Seeds
1/2 tsp Coriander Seeds
2 Button Red Chillies
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 Clove
1/2 inch Cinnamon Stick
1/2 Cup Grated Coconut
1 Onion Roughly Chopped
1 Cup Water
For the Botateachi ( Potato) Bhaji :
INGREDIENTS:
2 Boiled Potatoes ( Cut into cubes)
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
3 Cloves of Garlic
1 Slit Green Chilli
1 Cup Onion finely chopped
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/4 tsp Mango(Amchur) Powder
1 tbsp Oil
1/2 Cup Water
TIP :
