This is Amelia, my Black LaMancha doe. She is unbred currently so I am making the best use of her till she is bred in fall. This is her fifth time with a cart on, I believe fourth time on the road. I only worked with her three times prior to actually putting a cart on her. She is a good cart goat. I kept in the mess up where we went the wrong way in the driveway to show how well behaved she is. She was confused, but easily obeyed and turned around.
I must add that Amelia was trained completely through natural training. She was taught to walk by attaching her to my trained Nubian doe on ground. She took off from there and only needs some taps with the reins and a click to go. She is still learning woah right now, but doesn't short stops well. I don't carry a whip when working with her at all.
I said in the beginning of the video the ground may be a little hot. It wasn't, I actually walked back down it barefoot to go look at the snake I talked about in the video and it was warm, not hot. Although it can get hot, and I have boots to put on her when it does.
I used the Hoegger Supply Garden Cultivator Harness in this video. I am missing two pairs of parts to it, but don't need them because of the clips on the cart itself.
Amelia loves to pull the cart, and gets excited when I walk out and call her name when its about time to go. She loves to pull in general, and has been helping me move trees from the front to back yard the past few days. She has a lot of strength and will to work. She is still in training so yes she was pretty tired at the end, but its like jogging for the first few times, you will be exhausted, and I take the best measures to keep her cool, and always wash her down as shown in the end of the video.
Also as another note, the lady who slowed down, I was smiling when I said we can't stop. She makes me mad because she blows the horn at me when I am riding my horse. She is being nice, but I've told her 50 times not to.
