Every time someone uses Muggle as a reclaimed slur I fucking lose it because it technically demeaning it comes from ''mug'' which is slang for someone easily fooled but it's so fucking funny

I didn't realize just how much the world was set up to be "holy shit, the house system is fucked up, y'all" as a rag on HP, but they're literally just in a more realistic version of what fans think Hogwarts is like.

ok but as someone who went to a boarding school for a year, watching this made me realise we definitely didn’t have contraceptives of any kind available on campus, even though i’m pretty sure the culture in Denmark is more open about sex than in both America and England. tbf i think it was because you weren’t supposed to fuck at school (and everyone had at least one roommate), but like people definitely *did* do it anyway, and the school was in a rural area, so it wasn’t like it was convenient to buy anything at all (i do know that some people at least had condoms, because i found an unopened one on the floor of my room….) but yeah, thankfully the school was better than Gowpenny on all other fronts that i can think of (except magic)
