I've often seen this design sailing single- handed & moving along well in light to moderate wind. As you have it here, the boat is almost empty & carrying minimal load. Is it a handful in stronger wind...assuming of course you reef?

I do not understand the “hiking stick” why not just have the tiller 25cm longer ?

It's a fast boat.

I would have a pulley/cleat combination installed if it were my boat, it would leave a hand free to hold a cup of coffee or whatever you need a free hand for... It could come in real "handy"!
