Arin eventually learning not to panic whilst staying in the bush was worth at least one seagull wearing pants in the hand.

Arin could skew the results of a classical conditioning experiment... "Well we attached electrodes to a cookie so that touching it will deliver a painful shock. Most test subjects ignored the cookie, a few tried picking it up, but didn't touch it again after getting shocked. The subject named Arin shocked himself 52 times before we had to shut the experiment down due to safety concerns..."

Putting it on the list (since Arin asked) makes Pizza Possum THE 250TH GAME THE GRUMPS HAVE BEATEN! CONGRATS BOIS! (Yes, getting all 3 crowns would count MORE, but since it seems to just be more of the same, I'll count it. 😅)

We call one of our cats a, "nawty possum" so listening to the commentary and gameplay made me giggle quite a bit. She is quite the food thief.

This probably won't reach the eyes that I'd like it to: Arin had said how he admires the idea of playing games as a "little goblin". Well about two years ago I'd gotten a team together to build an indie game called "GWAG" Where you play as a weak goblin who magically obtained a modern day firearm. Long story short, the project fell through, BUT I'm currently writing the story as a book to build interest. Point is: I'd wanted to reach out to Arin to voice the goblin lol

Haven't even started the episode yet, but I'm so glad they're playing Pizza Possum! I've had so many hours of fun in this game. It really feels like those old school games where you do minimal strategizing to obtain a high score. None of "if I make this decision in THIS quest then THIS happens" thought process. Just some good ole' "I like (item) the best so I'm gonna tear through this game the way I really wanna play it". btw, Smoke Bombs are the OP catch. Just stack 'em and the castle is all yours at that point.

Because Dan mentioned Short Circuit and I’m always thrilled whenever he makes a reference to the decade we respectively grew up in: The music video for “Who’s Johnny?” by El DeBarge depicted a courtroom scenario that doesn’t have much to do with the plot. Ally Sheedy, as Stephanie Speck, is on trial and when asked the title song’s question, she merely shrugs and implies she doesn’t know. Johnny Five makes an appearance in the video and, naturally, scenes from Short Circuit are featured as well.

For anyone who doesn't know what song Dan's talking about at 26:46, I implore you to check out the music video for El De Barge's "Who's Johnny." They couldn't afford to hire Steve Gutenberg to come back for the video so they just use a cardboard cut out of him. It's quintessential 80's music video schlock at its finest.

As beautiful as Ostuni, Italy is, that is not the place this is based off of. The actual inspiration is Oia, Greece, and it truly looks like heaven on earth

It always worries me when people cram marshmallows in their mouth. The tool medics use to get food out of your throat doesn't work very well with marshmallows.

I've played this game and it is addictively fun. Still trying to get to the pizza at the end. The smoke bombs and puppy heads are the only ways to actually get passed any of the dogs
