God’s Word - With Gail Sharp Ep.11
Hello, my name is Gail Sharp. Let's read God's word together. This is Psalm chapter one, verses one and two.
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, but his delight is in the law of the Lord. The Psalmist here says that those who delight in God's law, his word, are blessed. Delight can mean pleasurable, greatly pleased, joyful, happy and thrilled. What a great attitude with which to approach our Bible reading and meditation each day.
I'm thrilled to read my Heavenly Father's Word, and I have great pleasure in listening to his voice. I am joyful as I receive revelation from him through his word, which is life and health and well-being to me. The seed of his Word is going to be planted in my heart and I am going to reap an abundant harvest as it grows and as it produces. Cultivate that attitude of delight as you fellowship with your Heavenly Father each day through his Word, and you will be blessed.
Father, thank you for your life-giving word. It is my delight and joy to fellowship with you as I read it. Amen.
