Hey Danny, I am not sure you will ever read this but for those who do. Thank you for this podcast because mentally, I was in a dark place and they way Bek explained how unaliving oneself and how God would take it. I don't believe I was that low in life but they way he explained being depressed and how positive attitude or as he placed it, look for something Holy. I had paranormal experiences, and that initiated me researching. My daughter died from a heroin overdose, and it pushed me right over the edge in researching. My husband died last year with only six months notice from terminal cancer I have gone above and beyond in thousands of hours of research in the afterlife spirituality levels. I went from being distracted in the first 30 minutes and about to turn off podcast as not for me to being absolutely riveted . I’m not saying i’m a total believer but that was the most powerful podcast i’ve ever listened to . I had no idea who Bek was and hadn’t seen previous episode . Like I said not sure about it but Bek 1000% turned on my radar for it AND I also got mind blowing insights into all the religions . Just an epic podcast .

Personally I can say I think about the reality of death everyday. How prepared am I I'm not sure. But I know how lucky I am everyday to be here and see my loved ones.
I can relate to your comment. I think about it a lot too. I don't want to die. I want to live. I believe that there is no more existence after death. No after life, or next life. Our consciousness disintegrates. I don't want this to be true, but this is the conclusion that I have come to from investigating consciousness, and religion, and the possibility of an afterlife for decades. I think most people know this in their subconscious. I think the conscience mind can not tolerate the overwhelming anxiety that this makes us feel, so we distract ourselves from what we know to be true.

Personally, I agree with Christianity’s claims specifically Jesus’s when compared to the other religions. It makes the most sense to me spiritually. I truly know there is a God because of the evidence I have seen and plus it makes more sense to me when compared to other worldviews. It has more answers to life’s big questions and the purity of Jesus resonates with me. It’s so awesome to me the concept that God would want to have a personal relationship with me by having his son voluntarily take the form of humanity to be a brother to us all and bring man back into divinity. I do not believe in it because of tradition, I find a lot of the non biblical traditions as unnecessary.
Tonight I headed home from visiting my family for Christmas and was listening to this podcast. Going thru Memphis I noticed an orange mustang with a license plate that said “Houdini1” that passed me. An hr down the rd. I caught up to it again but then when I passed it , the next car I saw was a black mustang with a license plate that read only three letters on it: “JYN” …. This was ab 5 min after they were explaining what the Jinn are… not sure what to make of the experience but def feel God was trying to tell me something

He is the fast talking quick study type, borrowing from a range of faiths, to support his beliefs, and none of them actually add up, they just sound interesting, and fun. Islam did the same thing, borrowed a little from here and there, and for some reason said that after 500 years God needed to clean up some new testament theology, literally demote Jesus and his final word and plan, and for what? That what, was only about power. So, what this guy doesn't understand, or know about, clearly, were the geopolitics of the era and why Islam was invented. Isolation and strict punishments is what has kept Islam from being reformed and eventually eliminated. You see this guy is a Sufi, at least he is a spiritually peaceful muslim, which is closely tied to Hinduism and Sikhism, among others. But, he does not hardly speak for the rest of Islam, and in particularly Islamism, or fundamentalism, which, with traditional muslim faiths, represent a dangerous set of ideas completely incompatible with western secular democracy. I could go on for hours on this guy, clever, sounds like he knows something, but he is a novice. Sounds like fanboys that go down the Bob Lazar rabbit hole, or the Marshall Vian Summers rabbit hole, among dozens of others, that have all these fantastical "ideas" of what is going on, and none of them are real, just interesting sci-fi. Although I’m not a religious person I’ve always been fascinated with theology and convinced that the scriptures and their philosophies have the answers to the past, present and future. 👁️ This pod made me want to engage and study more about the scriptures. Great guest, fact or fiction he was very logical in his hypothesis and passionate on these topics.

Im not finished with the podcast, but I think the reason some people stray from religion (at least me), is because of what the Bek pointed out. Say we are given free will, and I FULLY submit to a god, IF I am wrong in my choice, DESPITE thinking im following Gods will, I will be banished. There is an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient diety, and DESPITE my free will, this God knows my every thought, action, breath etc. While I CAN do whatever I please, that doesn't discount God's ability to intervene. It seems as if there are a select few people they chose to "guide". Just my thoughts. Great podcast

I grew up with a television set that only had local channels through an antenna. I could watch TV up until midnight (12 am) and then all broadcasts were shut off until the morning. Thinking back, if it hadn't gone off at midnight I would have stayed up all night. What I'm getting at is (imo) the Internet needs a "downtime". I feel like a large percentage of people need to come back to their own reality that's just outside their front door..... Just a thought about a human experiment that needs to be tried....
Id participate in this wholeheartedly. Its hard being young and wanting to live a life full of people that want the same as you, to experience the world in all its glory with true bonds and brotherhoods of friendships, to put the media down and focus on the people around us and the beauty in the nature that is around us. These phones have pushed the true beauty of life out of peoples lives that is love and companionship with their fellow humans. These phones and computers in todays world have brought us all together, but have also pushed us away the furthest and divided us the most out of almost anything in history that we know of in my opinion.

I feel like I'm getting preached at and dude I had an NDE when I was 29, life, consciousness keeps right on going, they was nothing to worry about, no pain, no judgement just another form of existence. Consciousness energy just is released when your avatar or meat body dies, your energy moves on. He didn't deny the age, then he tried to make it less bad because it was more common to marry younger, and then he associates people not knowing that about the ages of matrimony, to people not knowing their own faith ,so they cannot judge others! Expertise is kinda of an earned thing, don't you think? Haven't watched it yet, because I agree with part of your sentiment, been harder to watch some of these because of how sure people are of their beliefs. Also funny when other content creators have videos clearly debunking some of this stuff.

I really enjoyed hearing a different perspective. this man is very knowledgeable. a lot of the things he mentions are topics that I've always wondered about. No one knows what was her real age. The average lifespan in 6th century was like 30-40yrs old. People got married super young during those times. It was a weird time in history. Old dudes marrying young women.
