My husband served in the USMC. This man notice him and started bashing his service! My husband is a very calm guy and after this guy berated him the guy asked what do you have to say about it, my husband calmly said bro whatever you have to tell yourself when others stand and serve! One of our greatest freedoms is that we can leave, unlike citizens of other countries North Korea, Russia or China!

Not sure if my post got removed or not but any way I'll type it out again. All my life I never knew my father, 44 yrs passed by until I found out last year he had died. I drove all the way from Minnesota to Missouri to see his gravestone, this man came into as just a name, and he went out of my life as a name. But as I found his gravestone I stood there in shock cause the stone said Staff Sargent on it, at this moment I realized my father had been in the USAF and had climbed his way up to staff Sargent. I was given his strips, his medals, his name tag, the shells from the funeral and the folded flag. I stood there wondering why, but now having so many questions that will go unanswered. But I have always loved this song, but now finding out what my father had done with his life, this song means so much more to me.. and we can never forget if it wasn't for every branch of the US Military, the police, the fire fighters, the emts, the doctors and the nurses but most of all each and every person who has given their life doing what they felt was right to protect this country and to protect us..... God Bless each and every one of them, for they will never be forgotten.
