Who's your commander? Good luck Equip Move to combat Resolves! Now before you attack... Does anyone have an answer? Well played Good game wuuuaaAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH dink It's like ingrained in my brain now. Thanks DJ.
Jumbo!!!! My grothama deck is very enjoyable. Thanks for that video, I want to make the red boar deck. Oh yes please make a deck tech on that boar. I want to go for extra attack turns to try to maximize value
A Soul Sisters subtheme could be really good with Eternal Oketra. Most of the Soul Sister creatures are 1 drops, so they can be searched with Ranger of Eos, and they also get you access to cards like Dawn of Hope and Well of Lost Dreams for more card draw. Another idea is Battalion. Cards like Frontline Medic and Borodin Elite could be really good in an aggressive strategy,
Here's a really stupid powerful thing to do on turn 5: with Oketras monument out and whitemane lion in hand and Oketra out with a sword of feast and famine, attack and get through with Oketra, untap your lands, flash out the cat and bounce it a bunch of times, get an ungodly amount of tokens, and do it again because double strike.
Definitely thinking mono white hatebears for this build and this seems like the best commander for it. im so happy that you released this deck tech because I fell in love with this card when it was spoiled
Karns bastion was made for god eternal oketra, for four you double your tokens every turn And then play the white weenie mummy Paramount which gets plus one plus one for every one of your zombies
I'm building an oketra commander deck, and I'm using 2 planeswalkers, I'm also using elspeth, but I'm using the mono white ajani from jump-start, his +1 is that you gain life equal to the number of creatures you control plus the number of planeswalkers you control. You can also use him to wipe opponents boards as if you have at least 15 life more than your starting total, exile ajani and all nonland permanents( I think, it might also be just creatures) your opponents control
Hmm No Eldrazi Conscription? That card on Oketra can be instant commander damage death especially with something that would make Oketra unblockable like Rogue Passage... oh and Divine Visitation/ Dawn of Hope solid inclusions :P
Awesome video! I do have to disagree on not including Elspeth or Finale of Glory, simply because this deck as-is relies too heavily on your commander being on the board. At 5cmc, two removal spells on it make it hard to re-cast (though you can let it go to the library). Having a backup plan seems perfectly reasonable. Also I'm surprised to see that Anointed Procession is not included in this list. the only thing better than 1 4/4 vigilant zombie is 2 4/4 vigilant zombies :)
@@pabloabadgonzalvez3798 I'd like to see you when someone forces you to search your library after you've put your commander there. Field of Ruin comes to mind for example.
Now this might be redundant but, really, how is creating Serra Angels everytime you cast a creature bad? I mean, seriously. Upgrade those Zombies into Serra Angels!
Thank you sire Jumbo!!! When I opened Oketra, I found it kinda crappy compared to other Gods. But I feel like it will be fun to play as a mono white commander. Looking forward your next suggestions!!
this is just shit cleric tribal, advise, use athros or tymna as the commander add some of the cool black clerics and so fire power to the deck, play oketra in the 99 and play a cool tribal deck with way more flavour, power and synergy.
Screw the expansive swords, just get Anointed Procession and Avacyn for that money! A anthem enchantment support route would be more easy on the budget compared to equipment. Like that you didn't go all in on Voltron though, that's too easy.
No Divine Visitation or Anointed Procession? I get that they're not creatures, but letting those 1/1 dudes from Monument turn into 4/4 vigilant fliers, and upgrading the zombies coming from Oketra, seems like Visitation is a no-brainer.
Hey DJ! Loved the deck tech, I fell likes it’s been a long time since you made mono red. I have an Idea for an epic commander deck. I am currently brewing a sweet mono-red kurkesh Onakke ancient deck. I’ll name a couple busted cards in that deck; Magistrates scepter, lux cannon, expedition map, planar bridge, FREAKING AETHER FLUX RESEVOIR! You should check him out. I feel like he is totally underrated.
Thinking about building this but I would like your input on adding something because I'm not the greatest at building commanders. Thinking about adding three cards to this deck (4 if you include Enlightened Tutor to help with it) that I think would work great. Ornithopter - 0 mama creature for a free 4/4 zombie Ashnods alter - for when you need just a little bit more mama for a spell and have tokens to spare Enduring Renewal - helps big time for a wipe and can combo with the commander to save on commander tax as well as combo with the other two cards listed for infinite colorless mana and infinite 4/4 zombie tokens. Again it seems like a good thing to add but I'm not too sure about it. Any and all input would be highly appreciated! Great deck tech and can't wait for the next one!
I pulled the promo Oketra and now I'm so tempted to craft a shell for her. She's always been my second favorite Amonkhet God (sorry but, Rhonas has better cards that my inner Timmy cannot deny).
Not a combo, but Magical Christmas Land: Paradox Engine + some mana rocks + Mentor of the Meek + Oketra's monument + Commander + Phyrexian/Ashnod's Altar + Weenies: make some mana per creature + sac monument token to make mana and draw + untap mana rocks and start again
This is my favorite style of commander, something that you know what it wants to do but its open ended enough that you can take it in multiple different directions so its really just about your favorite playstyle
Don't want to burst your bubble but westvale Abbey cannot go in oketra as it is considered a black permanent, for the same reason you couldn't run the flip avacyn
suggested replacements for teferi's proection (for budget and better synergies) planar guide 1/1 cleric {w} 3{w}: exile planar guide: exile all creatures, return them to the battlefield at the end of the turn under the owners control eerie interlude faith's reward
For a budget and to keep your commander safe sure, but anything that exiles will kill all your tokens. Oketra is a cast trigger, not ETB. Phasing and indestructible keep the tokens.
If you add some re-usable free sac outlets and a a couple 0 cost creatures that Ranger of Eos can help find, then Enduring Renewal + Free creature + sac outlet + commander = infinite zombies at sorcery speed. Might need to put a tutor a tutor or two find the renewal though since it will be bad outside the combo.
I’ve had a Red/Green Eldrazi themed ramp deck for about 4 years and I love it. The commander is Omnath, Locus of Rage. It rarely loses in my play group, super fun build.
@@eatmoretidepods2499 I mean.. you basically play alone with that deck. Who wants to sit at a table and wait 20 min for you to figure out whether you can win or not?
Really like your videos but, I might be in the minority here, I cannot stand that intro. It's got this smug anime voice acting sound to it that just makes me groan every time I hear it. If it was actual clips from commander games you've played, that'd be one thing, but I can't hear anyone other than a Yugioh villain sounding like this while playing. Hope this doesn't come off too harsh, again, really like the videos.
