On November 4th, 2017, one of the world's best Hollow Knight speedrunners set the first world record for the game's most difficult platforming challenge, Path of Pain. Today, that time stands nearly thirty seconds behind the world record. In the years following his run, Path of Pain speedrunners brought the category to another level, and in this video, I'll tell you how they did it.
