I had to play against a potemkin for the first time last night as Faust and I was screaming bc he kept spamming gradually impact I looked into it and he was Kara canceling too
OK so here's something I've learned as a Faust main, if we ever leave Faust, we either switch to potemkin or testament and literally no one else. Everyone I've talked to that has stopped being a Faust main has always said one of those 2 and its always funny. Can't really blame them though, Potemkin is fun af
yeah a lot of comboes is just coming up with things on the fly "hold up I got a combo for this, its called *dice noises*" I also attempt to grab loop poor fellows who did not learn critical thinking skills I jab handshake you in solidarity
@@MortalinaMortiferathats exactly how I managed to wall break and win vs someone from the community's discord server, who has more experience on the game than me - I just kept making the most random decisions, which miraculously ended up mixing my opponent up for 2 rounds straight and a win. Got into GGS like 3 days ago and so far I love how chaotic Faust's gameplay is
I played this game for the first time with my friend the other day and I didn’t notice Faust on the roster till three games in, I started winning after that so I can confirm I love him with my whole soul
I have never played guilty gear before but faust made me want to get it but this footage scares me Edit: got the game i main faust but holy moly im not good ;)
It's not about being good, it's about being silly. I main Faust and am no the third level of the tower and there's no shame in that. Tip: bursting can be done by pressing an atrack button and the grab button at the same time.
Faust looks like such a fun character, but he's such a pain to fight against. I don't know if it's vertigo or I just have trouble processing his moves, but the only way I can really fight him is by being hyper aggressive. I never know how to block his teleports, and the sheer chaos that can happen on screen makes it difficult to keep up.
In my experience, if you use an attack with a lasting hitbox as soon as he used a teleport you will hit him out of it no matter which side. And if he's above there's a chance depending on who you play
Faust and Potemkin casually landing a *double gold burst* for the viewer watching: 👌 -Potemkin immediately landing that buster the second Faust lands: 🤌
As a potemkin main who just started learning faust as their second character, i knew from the moment i looked at the character roster who i'd be playing next.
Can someone explain what happened here? I'm not familiar with fighting games and i never played ggstrive (yet, since i'm waiting for it to release on xbox)
