Being rated by IMdB is legit the most difficult thing a show can be, and AoT has an episode rated #1?!?!?! That's amazing.... IMdB has the best algorithm used for rating episodes like it's actually tough, I also found out that theres a bunch of AoT episodes in the top 20 too

@@s1l453 It only has 20000 votes so it's a relatively small sample size, but it's still an unbelievable achievement. Even if it settles around 9.5 I'd be happy. Very few shows achieve a 10/10 rating with more than 100000 votes. Only Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones have in the past from what I know.

Oh Marlo, in his last moments, he was thinking about Hitch. The tragic part was when he was wondering "why?". Poor guy was in love...but now he's dead. Levi cutting up the Beast Titan was so damn satisfying! Though the look on his face later when that quadrupedal titan saved him and was running away was absolutely heartbreaking. "Reiner...Come out!" Hange coming in with the surprise support and Mikasa dealing the last blow, just fantastic overall! How fitting in the way the Colossal Titan was defeated. Everything has come full circle! It all started with him in Shiganshina and now it ends with him in Shiganshina. And Eren was the one to deliver the final blow! Back in S1, he wasn't able to but with Armin's sacrifice, he was able to this time. Like Erwin's charge last episode, Armin getting burnt to death was hard to watch. And like Erwin, Armin had to give up his dream and die to save humanity. It made his last conversation with Eren that more heartbreaking. He knew what he had to do but tried to reassure Eren anyways that they'll both see the ocean together. Episode title is "Hero" but honestly, there's so many brave heroes all around!

Literally every single one of the scouts there was brave. I mean, the Rookies could have just stayed back and not charge into their deaths, but no literally everyone there charged in the face of death. I absolutely loved it.

@@HartlyLion i think eren actually meant that he was the bravest out of three of them. not eren, not mikasa, but armin. but yes, we also have to pay some respect for all the soldiers in this arc. this time, they were literally sent to their deaths - not like the episodes before - and they came through even when they were scared shitless and even when there was only just a sliver of hope for victory.

I nearly dropped AoT after this one. It took me some talk with a friend because Armin is my favorite and I just had to watch him burn for like a minute, it was like this show stabbed me in the back and invited me to leave. I genuinely have never felt so _betrayed_ by a work of fiction, I cried from the moment Armin said he would never see the sea until minutes after the outro (which is also emotional AF). It was an amazing episode , though.

@@alzhanvoid lol, no, i went to feel strong emotions because that's why I consume fiction and that's exactly what it delivered. It was _the way_ he died that made me feel betrayed but I wouldn't leave hating the show or anything. When this happens I take breaks but I always return for a good story. I simply wasn't ready to lose Armin at that point because I was so confident he'd live as he, in fact, did. :-D

Even as a manga reader myself, i was completely blown away by this episode, every single part was better than i could've ever asked for, and surprisingly the biggest part of it were the music choices, even if they weren't what i was expecting. The music after Levi gets on top of Zeke, when Armin is getting roasted, the silence after Eren gets down to Berthold.. I'm still shaking dude.

Yea, but the experience of watching it via anime is that much greater - the surprises are that much sweeter, its not enjoyable watching it with a "manga reader", they constantly display reactions that don't match the setting because "they know". On top of that, some of them display this condescending behaviour simply because they've read the manga. So, i'd vote this fella out because his smile while armin was "dead" tells the world that no - he isn't dead, something will happen - maybe the serum, maybe the colossus, who knows - regardless its not entertaining to those that are enjoying the show. Its awkward, smiling while a toon is dead. C'mon.

sacr3 Is it awkward, maybe, but its not spoiling anything to a non-manga reader. In fact, the only one actually spoiling is you for mentioning the Armin thing. Their smiles could be them reacting to how they’re friends reacted and/or as Somber said they are happy that the episode was adapted properly after waiting years. You seriously expect them to have the same shock as a non-manga reader when they experienced this years ago.

First-time watcher, here. I haven't seen "reaction" videos before, and I had just literally started watching Attack on Titan a week ago. (Binge-watched it in a weekend!) The Alchemist Code mobile game is doing a collaboration event with AoT, and I didn't know about any of the characters before then. All that to say, hands down, RT-TV's reaction to this episode was the BEST REACTION VIDEO I've ever seen! Fight me! I've watched you guys cheer, whoop & holler, tear up, and thoroughly enjoy yourselves watching God-Mode Levi take care of business! LOVE IT! (RIP Armin, tho. My heart!) It’s funny. Last time, Eren tried him and failed, the Colossal destroying his world once more and then vanishing without punishment. It felt like the only way for Eren to take him out and for it to have that satisfaction was to take him out with his blades. Any other way, like Levi doing it or Mikasa or Eren in his Titan form would have had a much less impactful outcome. But with this? It just sits well with me. Also, he pulled him out and gave him that look that said, “After five years....” maaaaaannnnnn, what a good episode.
