The irony of Orkos' help is that he originally aided Kratos because of a prophecy that he deeply misunderstood. Eventually it was Kratos himself who destroyed Olympus. D.R.
cosmoman.EXE Orkos did not want Olympus destroyed. He even attempted to warn Zeus of Ares' ambitions. Actually, not one of Kratos' allies understood Kratos' motivations, only Athena in her astral form, and even her had her own agenda which Kratos opposed in the end. D.R.
Hasfast if orkos knew about what zues has done after his death, the would agree and even be on kratos side with his ambititions and keep athena from hers
cosmoman.EXE Maybe, but that's not how that happened, so we'll never know if he would've agreed with Kratos or opposed him. Even Athena constantly berated Kratos and, in the end, blithely leaves him to die because of her own broken pride, so perhaps Orkos might have found, like Athena, Gaea and Cronos, that they did not understand Kratos at all. Posh Crabby it would probebly be censored and kratos would have been remade into a woman identified as a green volcano. Woulden’t suprise me if it happend.
So, to the best of my knowledge, this is a prequel to God of War 1. Since Kratos has the Blades of Chaos, this must take place somewhere between the ten years of "service" he made it the Gods... I'm guessing this is set after Kratos murders his family, and then goes off in search of Pandora's Box or whatever, but before he defeats Ares. Someone please fill me in. I have no clue if I'm right.
It takes place before god of war 1 but after chains of Olympus because he no longer serves Ares plus in the end orkos says to kills Ares and have his revenge thus starting god of war 1

i bet $50 dollars that if the director of GoW can go back in time, they will make GoW ansension into GoW I, and GoW I will be GoW II... that way the entire series will be (nearly) flawless.
here's a thought you guys if you don't like the game then don't watch it makes sense right its not like someone was forcing you all to watch the video of all the videos on games and movie cut scene games you couldn't just say hey i'm going to watch something else has that thought completely went over your heads or what?

The guy who represents the multiplayer char got to be the servant of the god. That means later on when Olympus is invaded, everyone is probably Kratos enemies and got killed eventually...

Subtitling from someone who clearly cannot pronounce Ancient Greek. Or listen to what the in-game characters are saying; you can CLEARLY hear Meagara say "Hekatonkheries".

Yes it was because in the first God of war or whatever you fight ares and kill him but anyways the first God of war is basically the continuation of ascension
Stephen Aderanti He actually survives lol. If you look closely, he teleports away from his prison. In the multiplayer, he becomes your playable character if i'm not mistaken.
To all that thinks this is a prequel that tales place before all the other God of war games well no because at the end the furry said "you could have your family back if you do what she wants" which means his wife and child is already dead but she said she would bring them back to life so after he killed the last furry his family came back to life and than he killed them again. So basically he restarts because the women said he goes to rewrite what he wrought which means he will go and kill the gods once or twice more and kill the furrys again and every greater and human that he killed will die by his hand again.
I never liked Kratos it was like one goofball screws up his own life then sets out to make the entire world suffer but is this game a prequel cause I got the impression that his last superman hissy fit ended up screwing up the entire world?
Kratos was never much of a character if you ask me. The God of War franschise seems to be more about glorified killing than character development or plot. Anyway that's what I think as I've played very little of the games.

Wow... they really went overboard with this one. Not only do they ensure that Kratos is a completely unlikeable idiot, they also undermine the whole plot of the first GoW. Killing an immortal like Ares was supposed to be the height of tragedy and the first time a human did such a feat. Now, Kratos has literally "done worse" than his entire trip to Kronos and his other feats. I thought that 2 and 3 were bad, because they basically abandoned the whole "tragedy" aspect, but this is just masturbation.
