Kratos normally starts loosing all the baldur fights until atreus is threatened, which gives kratos a reason to fight hard

For their first fight, Baldur was there to seek information, but then turned his head to seeking Atreus when he found out that Kratos was hiding someone. Kratos temporarily subdued him since he killed him and since Baldur did not get Atreus, Baldur lost. The same thing happens during the Dragon fight. Baldur didn't kill Kratos nor managed to capture Atreus so he lost that too. Their last one, well you can guess. Also, Atreus was threatened in ALL of their fights. Baldur turned his attention to a hidden person in Kratos's home in their first fight. He knocked out Atreus and kidnapped him for their second. Their 3rd, he just so happened to be there. Baldur didn't even want to harm Atreus but he didn't want to leave, which made Baldur having to turn his attention from Kratos and Freya to all 3 of them.

IMO rdr2 had no chance, sure the story is good but rdr2 lacks good combat mechanics and great animations.

I'm not suprised. They were up against ubisoft and it shoddy textures, story, gameplay, etc etc.

@@raulcarcelen9066 No it was clumsy as fuck and all you really have to do is press L2 aim a bit up and headshot. And even if you do turn it off, the game is still made to just do that. Games like tlou2 has really mastered that mechanic.

At that specific point in the story even if it was not intentional it was a good thing that he destroyed the bridge because the massacre of the giants that would have come would have been outrageous, but then that proved to have been stupid when we learned that the giants are already dead at the end

It was a strategic move. If he were to leave the portal open, that gives Odin what he wants. If he crosses and then destroys the portal he might be stuck there. Finding an alternative route seemed preferable, even if it means delaying his main goal of fulfilling his wife's wish.

I mean by destroying the gate, he didn't give Odin what he wants. So it wasn't a dumb move actually, but accidentally or intentionally a smart move.

@@KingOfCurses-309 Kratos he and Atreus are the protagonists so they win obviously but to Baldur's credit he was also holding back in every fight except the final one and even when Kratos and Atreus were already endgame they still barely edged out Baldur...Baldur WITHOUT the immortality the dude is no joke he still seemed unstoppable in the final battle

They should not have switched game directors for the sequel, auch a shame. God of War 2018 story was just perfect, and Ragnarock had so much potential
