To prepare for the release of God of War Ragnarök on November 9th, we’ve invited the two best storytellers we know to recap the journey of Kratos and Atreus from God of War (2018): the amazing Felicia Day and the Smartest Man Alive, Mimir!
The new Myths of Midgard video is an animated storybook recounting the events of God of War (2018), with a goal of catching you up on the previous game.

@ you have to know that the reason these games even exist is because of the PS consoles that they want to sell. They ship the games to PC so they can have more revenues to develop whatever they need to develop, to boost PS console sales. If these games coming to PC compromises their console sales, they will stop doing it and you either never see them coming to PC or they will never being made anymore.

Just wanna point smth out. In the Portuguese subtitles, despite not actually saying it in English, Mímir calls the woman "irmã", which means "sister". According to Wikipedia (which could be fake), some Norse mythos scholars believe the theory that he is Bestla's brother. Bestla being Odin's, Vili's and Vé's mother. Now, several depictions of Bestla represent her as a glaring redhead, with a curiously similar appearance to the narrator. What I'm trying to say is that, I think, this woman could very much be playing Bestla. Especially since she seems to already know Mímir quite well.

As a Brazilian, I can say that it probably doesn't mean anything. The term "irmã" can be used in portuguese the same way as "hermano" and "bro"/"sis" are in spanish and english i.e. a popular alternative for "friend". But you can still be right, since it's not THAT common anyway. We would tend to use "guria", "moça", "mulher" or "senhora" when talking to a female stranger

This is probably the most anticipated game since Pandemic started, and it is indeed the only game that deserves to he bought and played on day 1. Sadly not a lot of new games reach that level anymore recently. Respect to Santa Monica studios, as we know they have never faied us before.

This was awesome. I'd love another go at a podcast like GoW 2018 had with its The Lost Pages of Norse Myth limited run podcast. Each episode started with the host reading stories from The Prose Edda before the 2nd half delved into interviews with the developers and voice actors. The host had an excellent reading voice and knack for telling stories. Just like the voice of Mimir, I'd love to listen to more of the lore of GoW (2018/Ragnarök) as well as Norse Mythology itself from him.
