I was smiling like a idiot when Kratos walked in saying “I do not wish to intrude🥺” Kratos gets the vibes and knows the boy is now a man and doesn’t wanna mess up his flow❤️
Whoever wrote this story did a very good job at writing two teenagers who eventually become friends. And given that Kratos says he likes her in the end, I wouldn't mind Atreus taking an arrow to the knee some years down the road.
Its a nice romance story but this is a god of war game you cant see that kind of shit in original games yesterday I played angrboda sequance it was a torture for me it was like 1 hours of bullshit world is a different place than 18 years ago it makes me puke this is not god of war it sucks
He was a Wholesome Father before, but likley cause Caleiope was a Girl. Kratos said in Vanirheim that he and the other Spartans were abused like Hell to make them Soldiers.

@@WILLINGLYWILD the creator of God Of War has been wanting to do the Egyptian Pantheon of Gods for over a decade but in interviews said Norse would be easier to handle first because it doesn’t involve too many figures whereas Egypts is far more vast… still I can’t wait to see Kratos in the Pyramids.
If you've played ALL the series all in order especially, you'll know just how touching it is to hear kratos say someone is READY and actually showing effecting toward a being.

I’m confused because I haven’t played it yet but figuratively Loki and Angrboda “give birth” or I guess life to Jörmungandr and Fenrir in this game. Solidifying them as parents. Awesome how the game did that.
I checked the runes on the ball, yes. The soul's name is Jörmungandr. You can see the last few letters of his name when Atreus is putting the soul into the snake.
@@danielhirst5353 also when she sees him in Muspelheim she mentions the snake is growing faster quickly and obviously (spoilers) we saw Thor send Jormungandr back in Time at the end
@@danielhirst5353 from what I heard is that this is their way of making the children. Not through intercourse but by both doing the magic together to give life to the snake, also how fenrir came to be because of angrbodas influence on atreus.
20:00 this whole scene messed me up…. Angrbodas grandma blew her up and you could see the hurt and embarrassment on her face it tore me up as a human because all humans thrive for even if they know it or not….is PURPOSE!!
Yeah, Loki is often a villain for a multiple of reasons, a lot of them actually good and understandable, but they often make people forget that Loki was, for a long time, a "good guy." He helped the Gods in so many ways, especially Thor. As such, his wife, Angrboda, is given simular treatment, but to be fair to scholars, there aren't many sources of stories of her beyond being the "Mother of Monsters" who tempted Loki away from Sigyn. In God of War, they combine both women into Angrboda.
I JUST realized that Angrboda (and by association, Loki) was the main strategic opponent to Odin this whole time (Kratos/Freya/Valkyries/Surtr being the main martial opponent). When she talks about how she kept a haven secret from him by spreading rumors about how it doesn't exist; how she and Atreus "created" the giant snake that would become Thor's rival and the wolf that actually represents the beginning of Ragnarok. Then she saves them all with "giant stuff" at the end. Odin was using his all-knowing foresight and ruthlessness to outsmart the Giants and their allies through fear, though everyone hated him; AB was using prophecy and "giant stuff" to support the Giants and their allies through unity, and everyone in this story loves her. Last thing: he gave her back his marble, like 'so you'll always be able to find me.' Smooth move, trickster.
I like the parts where she calls out to jalla the yak (not in this video). I think it's cute these two hanging out together. They both have a close connection with their heritage as well as sharing similar interests, like painting/drawing and caring for animals.
Atreus: Hopefully... How to bring our people back. Angrboda: Loki, those are all very noble intentions... But all you have to do is mash the circle button.
I just posted a video showing that in end game, you can see that Angrboda has the flower that she denied Atreus giving her earlier, showing that she eventually accepted it, or that Atreus has visited her and she accepted it or Atreus eventually took it out of his pocket and she actually went back for it

Gow was never accurate to mythology but I would expect people to complain about other things but I guess skin colour is more important.

Kratos is supposed to be a greek guy, he looks greek. Freyr is a brown indian guy which is also very strange. Angrboda, a scandinavian mythological character (scandinavia is in northern europe) is portrayed by a subsaharan african girl, which looks downright comical. Taking european fantasy and european mythologies and twisting them to fit neoliberal american worldviews seems to bw a standard thing in california. Angrboda and freyr are the only 2 things that dont fit the setting

I'm feeling really happy in this scene. I mean, atreus and angrboda deserve happy ending. But, they have a mission to be completed:( its ok, I love their relationship. I'm feeling really happy for them. But I still curious about kratos's next plan about midgard🤔
KRATOS VS GANESH I mean the potential is endless really, though I doubt they'd do a game about killing Gods that are currently worshiped by millions of people today lol It's only ok to kill gods no one cares about
@@AFGuidesHD There are also plenty of demons in Hindu mythology. Kratos vs Kali or the 10 headed demon would be a pretty immense boss fight. Asura vs Chakravartin has to be one of the best boss fights I've ever seen in any game.

I just realized that when they have Hel, she will probably be very busted. Hel will most likely inherit both the powers of Atreaus/Loki and Angrboda, and to top it all off her grandfather and great grandfather are both Kratos and Zeus.
@@Dumb343 probably because Scotland is practically Scandinavia’s neighbor, so that’s not much of a stretch. And Kratos is obviously from a place outside of the Nine Realms. But the wildebeest is the real head scratcher for me.

When I first saw Angrboda I was like "Now what sense does it make for a norse giant to look like someone with African roots?" And then I was like: "Oh wait... many of the greeks in the old GoW games were depicted as middle Europeans, complete with blonde and red hair at times, which also made no sense. Alright carry on, it's actually always been like this."
Greeks had red and blonde hair and Greece was apart of Europe, you can tell they only made her African to fit the woke agenda. It makes zero sense, unless they were planning on her being egyptian to go to egyptian mythology next than it has no purpose at all, just forced diversity
@@yalla5192 No, the ancient Greeks did not have blonde hair and they did not have pale, middle/north european skin. There have been red haired Greeks, but there have also been red haired Egyptians and neither were also pale. You really should Google this stuff before you make claims about it.
@@ALookIntoTheEulenspiegel Greeks did have pale skin and they may not have been blonde but they described zeus as white haired with other gods being blonde, and athena was described as being red haired. So it makes a lot of sense for the game to portray them that way. Even so that is a lot less of a stretch than portraying a norse being as an African
@@yalla5192 Yes, the greeks liked to give fictional people hair and skin colors that they themselves did not have. Basically any culture did. (They were not pale, though.) However, no Greek god is described as looking like a Scandinavian or Celt, beyond some of the hair color they gave their fictional characters coincidentally matching those associated with them. And yet the old God of War games were chuck full of them. The (assumed) ethnicity of the gods was altered to be more appealing to the player base of the game. And honestly: that's fine. And that's what happened in Ragnarok, too. And I think that's also fine. Angrboda was a good character who has fantastic chemistry with Atreus and while I admit that I found her appearance a bit confusing at first, I understand why they did that and would find it hypocritical to be fine with all the changes done to the mediterranean gods, while crying foul on the scandinavian ones.
