I loved the ending. How it made Kratos pretty much cry and seeing him in shock. That people are worshipping revering him as a rebuilder and not a destroyer or monster anymore.
@@Outlawproductions582 the end of Ragnarok proved that he has a good handle on it though, or he would have smashed Thor into paste and moved on to Odin.
The prophecy on the wall shows Atreus holding Kratos in his arms crying or something, but since Atreus wasn’t there to hold Kratos when the time came maybe the prophecy was never going to be fulfilled since the beginning of the game. Maybe Faye destroying the mural changed fate.
Nah, the Norns said fate in this land more works because people can’t change their nature. When Kratos trusts Thrud, extends an olive branch to Thor, and tell Atreus to open his heart and save civilians, he changes from how he has previously been. In doing so, the events that would’ve come from him remaining stubbornly violent are altered

This is a re-upload of my God of War Ragnarok Explanation video because the previous one got age restricted? The video took me 40 hours to create and it was doing so well. When it was age restricted it just tanked in performance... I have no idea why, and RU-vid themselves wouldn't even tell me why it was age restricted. So I have no choice to re-upload the video so that everyone can see it again. Sorry for the re-upload, I appreciate you understanding.
RU-vid is fucked they've essentially age restricted all of ACG's reviews that literally are REVIEWS... the vids are like 40 mins long and they age restrict it within like 5 mins of the video being published...
@@bobbob-cd9yl it’s so irritating mate. It’s more irritating that no one can tell me why it’s been age restricted? Like I’ve lost all ability to make revenue on that 40 hours I’ve spent creating the video, so this is my only option really… really sad
4:36 I don't believe Kratos did this to show dominance. Since this started out as a negotiation, I think they just both agreed to temporarily disarm themselves and keep their weapons in plain sight. Though obviously still close by.
This video is a MUCH BETTER recap than others I've seen on RU-vid. Thank you for explaining the story beat by beat, in order. Other videos were jumping all over the place, talking about later reveals at the very beginning. I like this much more.
It's also subtle, but in Kratos's shrine, you can see the embossed shape of Thor and Atreus, meaning this was the death mural of Kratos we saw in the past; but it has been painted over with this new future of him uniting the people and being beloved by the people. Faye changed their future and guided them both towards a more beautiful future that would persist long after she was gone; for her son and Kratos whom she loved. She changed the future where Kratos would die, signified by how it was painted over with this new future.
@@alizayd4040 Like the Fates said "You are the sum of your choices, nothing more." and Atreus mentioned that in prophecy, only the big events get forseen, the details are up to us and can be changed. The GoW fate and prophecy system works in a bit of a hybridization of these 2 concepts. With this in mind, Faye, having seen this future, rejected it. Her people, the giants, forsee the future with their future sight and embrace it as their culture. Faye went against the entire culture of her people and fought to change that fate. She broke shrine in Jotunnheim to prevent Kratos and Atreus from knowing their future. So that all their choices will be theirs alone, and not blindly follow a prophecy they saw (it was referenced several times that people in knowing their fate, try to change it, and thir efforts to change fate only end up leading to that fate they try to escape. So Faye changed small details and with her future sight, made extensive preparations before her death. She painted guiding markers (which we see as guides for where to climb, etc), set up a safe haven for Atreus to grow in safety, then got Kratos to cut down the tree that hid them from the gods, knowing that it will set them on the path towards changing their fate.
I love this because it all ties back in to the concept of hope. Faye put all her hopes into Kratos, because she could see the man that he could become. Hope that Kratos will grow and better himself. She believed in the god that she knew Kratos could become.
It's important to note that the developers leave subtle clues to Tyr's true identity. Look at the accent above the name anytime they mention Tyr, then compare that to the subtitle name whenever tyr talks.
It’s much more obvious it is not Tyr when you find him at the end of the game. When you find him, he seems fine a peaceful, whereas Odins version is all broken. This is showing Odins arrogance as well as it shows Odin thinks he can break anyone
I tried my best to do every side quest I found and I love how it all seems to tie in and feel important to the main story. It feels like your making a difference in your cause and that your making the odds slightly more in your favor even if it doesn’t change the ending
@@MrFable93 honestly that’s my favourite part of the game. I love having that feeling of having seen and collected everything and now I’m tracking down all the hardest enemies to clean out the realms of threats.

So Draupnir was actually a gift to Odin from Brok and Sindri. Every 9th night, it would drip clones of itself. I wasn't an ore, but that ring. That's why it kept spouting out new rings and why the had a well full of them.
About the part with draupnir... The idea was with an unlimited recreation of the weapon (the part's you can explode) to overflow Heimdalls ability to see your next move.
Another important detail is that Kratos can fight with it as if it were a natural extension of his body, making it harder for Heimdal to use his foresight
I didn't notice this while playing the game or while watching any playthroughs but, if you look closely during the scene where Fenrir dies and his soul bits come out, you can see one of the 4 bits going into Atreus's knife while the other 3 float away. I love rewatching these things post-gameplay and seeing the little details that i missed. This game definitely deserves all the awards and praise that it received. Such a good game.
So technically, Fenrir's soul is not whole too. Just like Brok. The knife only absorbed one part of his soul. I wonder if that is of some concern or not.
I just finished this game yesterday, thank for uploading a video that goes through the story with all the hours of distraction via sidequests lol so many emotions at that ending
I was fine with their decision in not including a ng+ in my opinion, as I had issues with playing my original save after 2018's story without wanting to jump into the ng+
There's a plot hole in 2018 where you hear the serpent horn sound and it's never stated who sounded it. I think that sounds we heard was Gallarjorn echoing through time.
@@lantzferguson didnt Mimir state that Jormundgar speaks a dead language that only Mimir knew of at the time tho? So Thor or Baldur couldnt have communicated with him idk about Odin tho
Wizzo, you were a bit wrong with Baldur’s curse. Freya has cast a spell on him so he can’t die in order to protect him (there was a prophecy of his death), and the fact that Baldur couldn’t feel anything was just a side effect of that, it was not the purpose of Freya’s spell.
I think it's funny that so many people seem to not like playing as Atreus. Not only was it fairly obvious from the last game that this game was going to center around him heavily, but I thought the gameplay with him was really cool as well.
My only complaint was that his bow abilities/runic attacks were kind of lame. His bow abilities just weren't that cool, and his runic summons were a better fit for being his supporting character attacks. Otherwise, I thought his combat was pretty good. It certainly wasn't as deep as Kratos, but it was fun
Loved playing as boy you are right it was obvious from 2018 god of war that Atreus is the new main character and confirmed by Chris when he said Sunni your the future of this at the award
Well told!!! Just how I saw the story through. Always been a major fan of the God Of War series. Absolutely loved Kratos's character development. From a Vengeful Warrior to a loving Father and Husband to the Savior of the people. Great story telling. Finished it on Give Me Balance, now my 2nd run is on Give Me God of War, and its brutal!!!! But very fun!!!
#Wizzo awesome video, brotha. I’m sure we’ve been going through many different creators of God of War videos. I like the way you explain story and the whole feel of the video. Continue on my man.
Stupid? Its wank , not a patch on any of the other games. I carnt play 8 hours in and i could slash my wrists how they ruined the game. aBSOLUTE stupid bullshit story with awefull childish colours
just saying guys I know that kratos would want to keep the axe cause its his wifes and his blades he cant give away but do you think that he should give back draupnir to sindri as it was a gift from brok and he did say let the weapon be put down when its job is done. I think it should as it would be a way for kratos to say "have the last thing brok made to remember him by" and also a way to say "sorry we kept taking from you, I dont know how to give anything back but this would be a start"
It is bitter sweet that he couldn't see what happened to gods like him when he died, but he could have not seen that future because he didn't have one. His soul was destroyed. So he, like Brock won't ever be able to have an afterlife. Brock maybe lost because of his direction but that don't mean he can't find the lake of souls necessarily. Sindri couldn't get one part back, that part could have been his direction. So he may find an afterlife yet.
Wow.. loved the video.. i finished the main story a couple of days back.. took a while doing a lot of side quests hence kinda lost track on the main story.. this was a great way to go through the wholw story.. thanks ❤
Sir, thank you, for helping me understand the ending better. This video also helped explain alot of other things in the story. Sadly, some details are still left unanswered (not your fault. It was Cory Balrog's intention for Ragnarok's sequel) But, regardless, this video was a good watch/listen while doing sidequests after beating the main story.
We need to make some form of commotion to Santa Monica studios to have them make a DLC of Atreus of him going to the nine realms gathering the Giants marbles. It has to be done 🔥
@@thejosepharias lol what no god of war 3 brings the destruction of Olympus mate are you new to gow ? And I do agree the next game is Atreus it been confirmed when Chris told sunny at the game award he was the future of the series
I like your take on the story, but you have to know a few things about Kratos. He said that he does not belive in fate, but he also said that he will take no chances with Atreus' life, that is why he has been training him for whole Fimbuldwinter. He also knows that fate is a tricky thing so he took no chances with Heimdall, Atreus asked him why he made the spear if he does not belive in the Norns. The main point of the game is Kratos trying to protect his son from Ragnarok since he fears of losing him, but also becouse he does not want to be a god killer again. He accepted Atreus' search for Tyr as long as it did not escalate into war with Asgard. And when he was in his tent before Ragnarok, he had another sleep about Faye and she told him to open his heart to the people, and since he did that he became a god worthy of worship, like in the shrine. And Faye did not save the day, fate can be averted, she made the back of the last shrine since she knew Kratos better than anyone, but she destroyed the end of the first one becouse she knew those things would not happen, but she did not want prophecy to change their actions, so she kinda saved the day, but not in your way. What i mean to say is that by changing like Faye told him, Kratos' actions were drastically different from what the Norns expected, and the Norns said that fate is the sum of your choices, so he survived Ragnarok. And if you did not understand why he was preparing Atreus, it is becouse he feared that Atreus would have to live without him.
I feel like I need to correct one thing. Atreus was going to talk to Freya, and Sindri tagged along and convinced Atreus to ask the world serpent before going to Freya.
I’m guessing now we’re gonna get Atreus solo games and it’s probably going to start in Egypt and imagine how powerful he’s going to be he will probably be able to fly and speak any language or even have Spartan rage
First about the part with the marbles or rather the thing you were talking about with rocks, they aren't rocks that look like bodies they ARE bodies. Angrboda says that they just left a big enough pile of corpses to make Odin think they were all dead. Second Freyr didn't marry Groa he married Gerdr whom he gave up his sword for. Third Atreus took MODI'S room, not MAGNI's. Fourth Sutr is a fire giant and Sinmara is a frost giant they are not gods there's a difference between god and giant. Fifth The Norns aren't a species They are just three spirits that can see into the future or at least able to predict it incredibly well. Sixth Draupnir is MADE of mineral and not A mineral its a ring not a rock. Seventh "when draupnir is combined with another mineral" is not what they did, they took a spearhead and draupnir along with some of the essence of wind to which the lady combined with Kratos' blood to make a spear. Eight, Thor WAS an alcoholic along with Sif his wife, they both tried to stop drinking and Sif upheld her side while Thor broke it in the mead hall before the brawl. Nine AGAIN sinmara and Sutr AREN'T gods, they are giants, Sutr a fire giant and was in Muspelheim and Sinmara is a FROST giant in Niflheim. Ten Hildisvini was always a human he was just trapped in his boar form in Midgard. Eleven the blades of chaos aren't just filled with primordial fire they were made USING primordial fire or at least with primordial fire. Twelve No not all of the gods of the realms, Vanaheim and Asgard have gods, Niflheim has frost giants, Alfheim has no gods, Muspelheim had fire giants, Helheim doesn't have a god, Midgards gods are the Vanir and Aesir, Svartalfheim doesn't have any gods, and Asgard well its the side the others are fighting oh and Jotunheim has no gods either just giants. Thirteen his name is Atreus not Loki. Fourteen Kratos didn't arrive from Athens he arrived from Olympus' ruins. This wraps what details the youtuber got wrong or mixed up. ( it goes along with the video so I wish you luck trying to read it.
Considering the Blades of Chaos are named after the primordial goddess in Greek Myth, Chaos/Khaos which was the first god to emerge in creation. Primordial flame would make sense considering from Khaos, Erebus (Mists of the Underworld; Darkness), Aether (Mists of Heaven), Nyx (Night), and Hemera (Day) come to be. I'm starting to think Aether is light now...
@Jamaine Elmore your right Hildisvini had 2 forms, most notably in norse mythology he was a pious believer of Freya named Ottar, to whom he built shrines of stone and an altar to her. She answered his prayers for help in finding out his ancestors by disguising him as Hildisvini, and tricking Gygr Hyndla a jotun of writing and text and forced the jotun into giving a memory potion to him so he would not forget what she knew of his ancestors.
@@calebleach7988 yes that's True but the giants don't have abilites like the gods they can't completely control one element to their will. Some like Thamur were frost giants sure but they did other things and didn't specialize in the element they were born of. Like Atreus, or Faye they were just giants not Fire or ice giants. Whereas the gods have unique powers and abilities. They may be related but fundamentally they are different.
Love the last part…kratos remember Mirmir…and hinted to Freya….hey my “head” accessory…Freya was like oh yea…and past him Mirmir…and actually kind of hoping kratos will hold her hand….you can actually see Freya starting to love Kratos as family
Out of curiosity, If Freya and Kratos were to conceive a child, I wonder who the child would be .? Considering Kratos and Faye concieved Loki (atreus) , who do you think Kratos and Freya’s child would be?
I finished the game yesterday, and now my soul has a Ragnarok sized thing that gets bigger the more you take away. I did find the battle of Asgard a bit underwhelming. It was built up so much over the two games and felt like a backdrop. Other than that, the game was utterly amazing!
I notice that Odin dies in the same way that kratos was supposed to,in the arms of Atreus, maybe the prophecy was saying his father figure instead of father and Atreus maybe thought of Odin as a father figure that’s why he tried to see the good in him and save him.
It's got a good story and the graphics are good but I wouldn't put it in my top 5 games I've ever played but I'd put it in my top 50 or possibly top 25
I always assumed the whole "laying the hammer and axe on the table" thing was a show of nonviolence or at least of truce between two warriors. "My hammer is on the table, not in my hand. I'm here to talk, not to fight." "Very well. Then I won't fight either. My axe is on the table." It didnt occur to me that it might be a show of intimidation. Potentially both! Very interesting.
Soooo Thor looks exactly like he is described in the Norse Myths. The thing I loved about this game was the accuracy to the Prose Edda over the Poetic Edda, right down to how BROK dies
There is no real description of Thor in the myths other than that he has red hair and a red beard and "fierce" eyes. I do love this design, but it isn't any more or less accurate than any other depiction of him.
@@patrickbateman4362 he is desribed as having an enormous appetite and loving mead. Also as the strong and powerful guardian of midgard. From the myths if one were to envision thor it would be exactly like in the game.
@@mattimeikalainen6963 not necessarily, an argument could be made that, because he's a God, he isn't bound to the limits of human biology. Remember, he's a different type of being than normal humans, so he wouldn't necessarily work the same way humans do. I'm not saying it's a bad portrayal of him, I quite like it. I'm just saying that since there is barely any real description of his appearance that there isn't really a 100% "lore accurate" way to portray him.
@@patrickbateman4362 i mean ofcourse he can look like anything. But based on the lore, and on just viking physical standards. A ritund and burly thor is the most likely version. Nothing is provable or official in any way.
My two peeves with this game- 1: That the death of Kratos felt like it’s purpose fell off halfway through the game. It felt so huge at the end of the 1st game and was really a worry in the beginning of this game, it just felt forgotten about in terms of importance. 2: When uniting the realms, I really didn’t feel that sense of having an army in the final parts of the game. We see some Ex Valkyries and the main cast, no other armies really seen fighting but were told it’s important to keep the portals open. Sutur was just kinda in the background along with the world serpent. The final battle with Odin felt lackluster, Odin didn’t really do anything that would make me think he’s feared as the all powerful, Baldur was a more visually stunning final fight. The game was great but felt rushed in the late game.
I wholeheartedly agree with this comment. The final battle against Asgard didn't really feel like all the realms coming together to defeat the enemy, and it wasn't as epic as I was expecting. We don't really see any army from those realms. I also didn't think the Odin fight was particularly challenging, and in hindsight it does make me wonder why/how he was so powerful as the 'All-Father' and how everybody was so scared of him/his power. I also wish we got to see more of Jormangandr, as his battle with Thor mostly happened off-screen, and I was anticipating this battle to be it's own cut-scene. I also think that Surtr didn't live up to the potential of Ragnarok, because only a few minutes into the battle Kratos wants to call him off. (I the Kratos character arc of saving the innocent and opening his heart, I just feel Surtr was misused/underused). Other than a few minor critiques (which to be fair, some of which could be my own errors as misunderstanding the story) I still think both GOW 2018 and GOW Ragnarok are some of the finest games I have ever played.
I’m guessing that prophecy is from Atreus telling the giants as he finds them in distant realms of his father in an amazing light and how he helped people and protected those he loved relentlessly
My coolest scenes from God of War Ragnarok is the opening of all the realms and the War of the Realms. The War of the Realms is like the Avengers Endgame of video games, everybody is against Asgard and is trying to help defeat the evil Allfather and end his decimation of the Nine Realms.
There were 2 other symbols on that shrine in the first game. It had a total of 4 each being the symbol of war from their respective lands. One of them was the eye of Ra which makes me really really want a series to take place in egypt. They dont even need kratos, atreus could make the journey or hell we could go around kicking butt as freya
A good story. Kratos was the general of Sparta was loosing in battle against the barbarians seek to ares. gave him the blades of chaos gave him a task that there was an enemy village that needed to be destroyed. Turns out it was his own people in that village killing his wife and kid. The gods hates him and betrayed him. Kratos only wanted to be the god of war the general the god of the people. Now he has full filled his prophecy. As for his son Atreus following his moms footprints to save his people from the torment of Odin. A beautiful ending but I hope there is another one
Just started playing last night, just watched fenrir die and atreus leave... I know what's next, but I fell asleep with my controller in hand after a long work day
35:45 you made some error here first Surtr is not a god , he is a Jotunn , really powerful mortal being but not gods, also Sutr does not rule Muselpheim he just lives there ,Sinmara does not live in Muselpheim , she live in Nifleheim and also is not a god and ruler
Pretty sure this does a hell of a lot better than marvel at depicting a more “lore accurate” version of thor. He’s supposed to be a red head and pot belly look is more accurate for Thor’s strength than marvel who go for best looks.
The game was uninspired and followed a very “marvel movie” like narrative, while the game play was fun I felt the game had so much more to offer than what we got
hey Wizzo, I was curious as to why you thought the exploding spear would counter Heimdall. I kinda thought that because the spear could infinitely duplicate, this sort of broke Heimdalls ability to see all possibilities; as the possibilities were endless. What do you think of that?
Atreus is going to be the villain of the next game. Mark my words. When Sindri smashed the orb containing Odin's soul, his soul went into Atreus. This is what is going to create the Loki we all know and hate and the reason why they have set him up to have duel identities. Atreus was good but Loki will be evil. We're going to spend a long time not knowing what's happened to Atreus until we meet him as Loki, god of lies. Kratos was meant to die and to save his soul, Atreus absorbed it as depicted in the Jotunar Shrine. Which explains why no matter what happens in Ragnarok, Atreus is depicted beating Odin with a god of war, whether that be Tyr, Kratos, or Atreus holding Kratos' soul. The reason I think Odin's soul is inside Atreus is because of the the union between Atreus and Odin as depicted in the shrine that Atreus freaks out about. My interpretation is that the union depicted between Atreus and Odin is of their souls, not a physical encounter. And Odin depicted with his hand over Atreus' shoulder would indicate controll and dominance like he is a stronger personality who will take over. This has all happened because Kratos wanted to change his fate. He started this by killing Heimdall. Heimdall was meant to kill Atreus. I've got a feeling that task has now been passed to Kratos. I predict that Kratos and Freya will be together. Atreus will have internal issues with it and Odin calling himself Loki will despise them for it. Loki will kill Freya. Kratos will kill his son to kill Odin for revenge on Freya. I also predict Sindri will be blue as he doesn't care about germs and will work metal with his bare hands. I have a feeling he may be really important in trying to get Atreus back. They have set this all up so everything can come crashing down. Everyone is predicting which pantheon he will visit next without taking into consideration the major steps Kratos has made as a character. That's why everyone who expected GoW3 level apocalypse for the Aesir are missing the point entirely. Kratos doesn't have conflict with the Aesir like he did the Olympians. Ragnarok showed us a good Kratos who wants to subdue his opponents rather than kill them. It wouldn't make sense to have him raging out on gods who he had no connection to. That's going to come later when it really is personal. He's not looking to go anywhere. He's looking to be an established Norse god for good as he's always wanted. No, you have to give him a reason to leave. The only thing that will make him leave is tragedy. The one constant theme that this series has tried to present is the story of fathers and sons. This whole GoW story from the beginning has been about fathers and sons. Tragedy and patricide. Kratos will have to kill his own son. That's the tragedy that will make him leave Midgard and search for a new home. It all works out too well. It's going to be an epic sequel with heartbreaking consequences. I don't think anyone else is floating this theory around. I'm pretty sure I'm right though. If you're following the breadcrumbs, you're thinking the exact same theory. This isn't the end of the Norse saga by far. I love how they've made everyone think Ragnarok is the last game before the change. They tricked you all into a false sense of comfort. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they made this last chapter a two-parter. It's going to be a Hel of a ride.
@@DoggoLogogo well, it can't be. They've written themselves into a corner. The only way it stops being written with Norse characters is if Kratos moves on from that region. Valhalla made sure Kratos isn't going anywhere assuming he took up the role as new god of war. Remember, only a part of Ragnarok happened, not the full thing. The part that destroyed Odin and Asgard, not the part with Sinmara that will complete the rest of it which assumingly destroys the rest of the nine realms. I don't think the next story has to be about how Kratos leaves the Norse gods or anything to do with my theory. That story can come last after a few adventures out as the new god of war. Everyone seems to think that whatever pantheon he reaches, Kratos will "do what the Romans did" and blend in to their society like he did when he got to Midgard. I think Kratos will visit other lands as Tyr did as a diplomat to the worlds outside the nine realms and that's how we will see Egyptian gods, Celtic gods, Aztec, Chinese, ect. It won't be a complete shift over to new lands. We will still have to see them through the Norse realm since Kratos has essentially become a Norse god. My theory has developed since I posted this but I believe that Kratos is not being primed to become the next god of war for the Norse gods. Tyr isn't actually going anywhere. He just returned so he will assume his duties as the Norse god of war. I think both Freya and Tyr are actually making Kratos believe that they're trying to make him take office to become the new god of war. But, no... I think they're trying to make Kratos take office to become the new All Father. They want him to be their new king. They want him to lead what remains of the Norse gods. And if you pay close attention, Kratos has been taking a lot of what belongs to Odin. First step towards taking Odins place starts with taking Mimir's head. That is a famous item of Odin's in the mythology. I can almost guarantee that Kratos and Freya will be together at some point so he's taken his wife. And in the 2018 game, the two wooden figures during the start screen depict Atreus and Kratos. Kratos' wooden statue is depicted with an eye patch. They've been telling us from the start what they're trying to do with Kratos. Kratos is the new Raven God. Which makes sense since if Ragnarok were to actually be completed, it would still be a battle against Odin and Loki. I've got a whole entire new theory on the mask being complete bs made up by Odin as a way to disguise his true intention of needing Loki to remove his soul. You see, Odin was kinda telling the truth with his intention to find out what happens to him after Ragnarok because he has to be honest because Heimdall can read his intentions. Heimdall is loyal because Odin sees his mission to be just. Odin's obsession is peering through the future to view every possible scenario that leads to Ragnarok and every possible scenario to avoid it. There's only one problem. Odin has seen through every possibility, every possible future... and he loses every single time... except one. One scenario where he doesn't exacly die. He survives Ragnarok only by having his soul removed and housed into another body. I think Odin orchestrated everything from Groa's false prophecy to pretending to slip up blowing his cover as Tyr causing him to kill Brok. I think he needed to kill Brok to get Sindri to smash the orb or he would have been trapped as no one wanted to destroy or take responsibility for it. No one would dare stop Sindri from destroying it. This has all been apart of Odin's master plan to survive Ragnarok. It would explain why the Ragnarok we see wasn't as apocalyptic as it should've been and why Odin didn't really put up much of a fight. We should've seen epic transformations with multiple stages to hos fight. My theory is that Odin can put up much more of a fight than we see him do. I'm sorry, I get too excited about this theory and ramble on because I don't see anyone touting this theory. But I'm pretty sure I'm right.
Kratos putting his axe on the table after Thor was a sign of dominance. Ot was a sign for a very temporary peace truce aka okay let's talk we don't need our weapons to talk but they're both wary and kept their weapons close. Almost like "okay let's lay it all out on the table" except in big BAMF man language
Why Faye sent kratos and atreus to the highest peak if she did not want them to see the prophecy of kratos dying? I did not get that. It's said in GOW Ragnarok that she destroyed the murals because she did want they to change their fate. So, why she sent them to see the prophecy in GOW 2018 in the first place?
Like I dig the more gentle Kratos, but really the series is not called the God of Peace or Rebuilder...I love character arcs but not to the point where he is unrecognizable. I already felt he was "weaker" on Ragnarok than in previous games. I understand fatherhood could cause this, but we've explored this side of him. I think we should find a way to bring back his rage and his darker side. Perhaps he falls in love with Freya and she gets killed by the Egyptian gods. This would fuel his rage. However, I am thinking more the Moses story is where they'll go. Kratos the savior of the Hebrews and killer of the Egyptian gods.
That’s a bit excessive, but yeah. Even I don’t like the character arc they’ve done for kratos after the first three games, but it is good and leave a good conclusion. Can’t have the raging mindless killing machine for 9 games in a row lol.
So Faye destroyed the the last part of the mural in hopes that that her son and husband wouldn’t allow the prophecy to come true? She didn’t want the mural to affect their actions? But little did she know Atreus knowing his fate is what allowed him to change it.
@@kommo1I watched another video where the writer explains that in the Ragnarok fight where Kratos says the whole ‘justice, not vengeance speech’ that was when they changed ‘fate’.
I find a lot of the pieces of analysis you put in this very basic. Fore example, Tyr wanting to sleep in the broom closet isn't weird because he's a god. It's weird because he's 8 feet tall.
