Yep. I bought Order 1886 for just 5 bucks during a sale and for anything under 15 bucks or so, the game is definitely worth a try. Spectacular graphics and some really astounding sequences.

@@driftingastronaut the game is obviously made with a ton of love, thats what happens when a studio thinks past profit and just focuses on making something that they care about. That is the formula for a flawless game, but no, most games are made to obviously just leech off your credit card
I just finished the story. I’m going to be real here. This is the greatest game I’ve ever played. There is not a single thing I disliked. It’s been years since I played a game that kept me that invested into a story, into its characters and world. It’s beautiful. And with tears streaming down my face I’m ready to pick up the leviathan and head out with Atreus to explore this gorgeous world to its fullest. I still have many bosses to do battle with and some more mythology to uncover. It’s kind of bittersweet because I don’t want this to game to ever end but I’m so happy to have had experienced it. I would recommend this game to anyone. If you don’t own a PlayStation, then for the first time I would tell you that you should pick one up just to play this game.
blackopx54 I felt the same at the end. I was kind of left underwhelmed by the ending which left me wanting more, but I took the gems at its merits and appreciated what it took to get there. Ended up playing it again at the hardest difficulty level to test my patience with the Valkarie. There isn’t much to complain about with this one.
Gwyntorias Zelda BOTW was basically like that until Jim Sterling came out with his lower score review. After playing BOTW I must admit that he was right and it was way overhyped. Truth is review scores mean little, the devil is in the details. For instance with BOTW even though it got plenty of 10s almost every review complained about the same integral parts of the game; Sterling was just one of the few who didn't ignore them. I'm not hearing many repeated complaints from various GoW reviews besides wishing it was 60fps, which is a great sign.
Of course it's all subjectice. Even if it was a 10 for everyone, It could still be a 6/10 for me. Horizon for example was above 9.0 for many people, but the story wasn't that special for me so it was like an 8/10 in my book. However, all these 10 are good signs and I agree with TLoU and BotW being 10s.

Its as if people forget how revolutionary GOW was when the first game launched in 2005. I remember it came around the same time as DMC3. And as much as I loved both games. GOW was the game being hailed by reviewers and gamers for it's mature character, gameplay and storyline. Now these so called gamers wanna act as if the old games were just about some angry bald guy randomly killing everyone with no motivation whatsoever.
Definitely the first GoW, he did become more one dimensional in the sequels. Hell, I thought on some kind of instictive level DMC3's story was mature and revolutionary, one of my all time best games, even if its not very elaborate like the new Gow
Almost everyone was thinking The Last of Us Part 2 would be the best PlayStation 4 exclusive. Little did we know, we got the best PS4 game over two years ago. This IS the PlayStation 4's magnum opus, and will always remain the most memorable PS4 game for me.
a couple days before release is still somewhat standard, but a full week for a linear single player game is almost unheard of, that's confidence in your vision right there

The single shot camera was such an amazing feature I have never experienced before. Loved it so much it worked so well. I really hope more games take this approach.
Got to say, I have played ALOT of games in my time. ALOT! And this is the best game I have ever experienced. Absolutely stunning. Masterpiece. Story is incredible

Unbelievably amazing game. I felt compelled to write a review having literally just completed it. This game is like no other. It has everything you could ask for & more. Outstanding. Simply put this game is a masterpiece.
A single player game, with these graphics and 25-30 hrs long. One dev said it took him 43 hrs to complete all even he knew everything... And look at Sea of thieves... A Multiplayer experience with your friends, that lasts about '"'4 hours"" In its entirety.
But multiplayer has longevity to it, a single player game doesn’t. I’m a fan of GodofWar but after I play it non stop and beat it, basically goes untouched then
dawie pieterse the sea of thieves devs have been around about 14-15 years longer than the GOW studio but Rare haven’t been allowed to make a real game for a while as Microsoft has them making kinect games. But the comment is correct Sea of Thieves has about 4 hours before you’ve done everything on offer
Finished the story today. I was blown away from start to finish. It is easily one of the best games I've ever played. I'm anxiously waiting for the inevitable PS5 follow-up.
The camera never cuts? So they incorporate gameplay into cutscenes? Oh man that is actually really impressive. Its that kind of thing where you didn't realise you needed until you heard about it. This game is a must buy.
This is not the first time it has been done, its actually not that “impresive”, the devs simply have the power to make the gamplay look good enough to keep that same quality over to cutscenes and not have to render cutscenes separetly. Also considering that they sacrificed 60 fps for that cinematic experience, im not that fan of it.
Its nothing new or special. It just means the cutscenes are in game. As is the case with 90% of games these days. Pre-rendered cutscenes are a thing of the past.

Satoshi played mario and Zelda on switch and was never hooked in , and I barely play them . Ps games like horizon zero dawn got me hooked in the first 30 minutes .

These reviewers played demos and looked up gameplay and assumed that is all there was to the franchise so of course when they play this full game, they are blown away when in reality then was the logical progression of his character after 3.

This is going to be a Game Of The Year candidate. God Of War, Spider-Man, and Red Dead Redemption 2 are going to be hard to beat and make Game Of The Year awards very interesting.
Yes definitely get a ps4. But don't get infamous second son and uncharted 4 they are as boring as watching women's tennis, Bloodborne, dark souls, the witcher, far cry 5 and God of war is all you need.
And I realize that’s not a lot but I only got it two weeks ago, and I know... I put off getting this game for a LONG time and I absolutely regret putting it off for so long this game is simply AMAZING absolutely deserving for GOTY hands down
I loved this game. It's right up there with Horizon Zero Dawn and MGS5 as some of the greatest games I've ever played. Everything about this game is masterful. The graphics, the combat, it's just so incredible. I think the combat is even better than the old games. I just wished the main campaign was longer. Obviously it's long for a GOW game, but it's not that long for an open world game. I just feel there's so much more potential. Hopefully the sequel will be longer.
I have no idea what XBOX is doing, Nintendo and Sony has been killing it lately. I don't even think they started on a Halo game or a Gears game yet. WTF are they doing??

I know what most of you're thinking: "IGN is bought, how can a story about a father yelling/being dissapointed with his son possibly be a 10/10?!". I play this game since 2 days before release now (~ 5 days) and as I said somewhere else - and I still can't believe I'm saying this - this game is the best game I have ever played. After playing the first 10 hrs, marveling at how good everything looks, how compelling the story is and how good the combat feels ... man, I had seen NOTHING. GoW 2018 is a roller coaster that is constantly surprising you with even more insane features and content. If you have a PS4 and you think "this could be something I like" then go out and buy this game, there is no way in all seven helheims that GoW is gonna dissapoint you.
beer is good no not at all completely different story, there are a few references to the other games, but the mane story has nothing to do with the other games, buy this game it's amazing, you owe it to yourself lol
