I’m a Rifleman main. I carry a gauss sniper with me pretty much all the time. Thinning the heard from 150 meters before moving in for the assault is probably my most abused tactic.
I made a Gauss Rifle build after i rolled a Q/FFR/25LVC its a beast. I ran it on a Low Life VATS Crit build. Super fun. The only con was bosses. But otherwise, a win.
I use a Gauss on my stealth bloody Rifle build (PSN) as well as my stealth bloody Rifle build (PC). I only use my PC build for the PTS, so I don't spend a lot of time on him. He is up to level 380, and I was super fortunate to find an Anti Armor crit, already modded nicely, with a silencer and long range scope. My PSN rifle build has a fully modded Bloodied crit Gauss, and it's a killer! My main toon on PSN is over 1,100 XP, and even though he's a Heavy Gunner, he knows just about all the mods for pretty much every weapon, so my Rifleman and Pistol builds get the benefit of his skills, LOL!

I've been running almost exclusively Gauss rifles since I got bored of my fixer. Super appreciated the gauss rolls in the community video (I voted for gauss rifles) and LOVED this video. Your videos made me fall back in love with rolling weapons and grinding for scrip lol. Keep up the great content bro

Do you remember the best part of the TSE nerf? They nerfed TSE because it was too strong in PVP (nuclear winter) in a PVE game. The community I was part of at the time couldn't believe it when we read the patch notes. Mind-bogglingly stupid reason for a nerf.
They didn't mess around either. Mega nerf hammer. made it basically useless except in very specific circumstances. Even with explosive now, it has terrible accuracy. RIP the OP days.
Snipers are awesome! i used to Love My Two Shot Explosive Dragon and Two Shot explosive Gauss Rifles in the old days. One shot everything except the Queen!

Probably a silly question, but one i dont know the answer to, but does the gauss-rilfe/minigun/etc benefit from demolition expert? Along with the usual science/rifleman/heavy weapons etc? Awesome roll! Had a bloodied crit perception one a while ago and sold it, miss that thing, but needed caps for 'home improvement' 🤣
the explosion part of gauss weapons, or any weapon with explosive roll, does benefit from demo expert/grenadier, but only the explosion so it's only buffing a fraction of the total damage. might still be worth the perks depending on what you want and your build etc.
I used to play on console switched to pc , started playing again for the past 2 weeks I’m Lvl 50 with a gauss bloodied build tryna get my perk cards up.
@@MrMorp76 Yer i normally run legendary luck perk to get to 20, then shielded raider under armor to get +1, you then have multiple ways to get the other 2 you need like using the temp buff machines you can build in your camp to get to 23 and your be able to crit every other shot just fine
im still fairly new to fallout76. i did roll a gauss rifle with 300% ammo, +ap per kill and reload speed. its pretty awesome. very ammo efficient. im only lvl 60. dont know how well it will hold past 100
it is a nice gun. Quad on a low ammo weapon is nice. I used to use Gauss as my main weapon. it is not good for events though. too long between shots. Was frustrating fighting the queen and doing 30 damage every few seconds.
@@MrMorp76 i have an auto laser rifle for events but the roll is pretty meh: vas crits heals, +25% dmg while aiming, -90% weight. alot of running away from the giants required. taking a while to get the mats to re roll.
@@dix_neuf I suggest always rolling on a new weapon. Never Re Roll. If the roll is bad, you can put it in the scrip machine. But, if you are just starting out, the materials to make new weapons each time might be a pain.
it will only add a bit a stagger. If i am using a fixer, or whatever with the option to use the 20% armor pen mod, like stinging, i use that and keep the tank killer. I bounce between different weapons, like bloodied, and quad often, so i keep tank killer on. If you Only use one weapon AA with 40% armor pen, you can use another card other then tank killer if you want to maximize
So when it comes to bosses like queen or earl what is the best roll? Because its kinda like dragon ball z if you think about it. You got a god roll but you still cant keep up. Lol.
Bosses, higher DPS weapons are best. Quad is king. Gauss rifle is good for the first shot, but terrible on bosses. My Quad/50crit/25ap cost Railway is awesome on the queen!
@@MrMorp76 yup. Thats what I was thinking. Its kinda crazy that the most op legendary weapons from fallout 4 don't hold up in 76. In you are definitely right about the railway. Im level 380. Im gonna wait till I have more modules to roll again.
Anything that you craft works with super duper. I crafted 76 Weapons and got about 100 to roll. doesn't count for the legendary modules. It won't give me double rolls or anything. that would be amazing though.
I don't get it! You can mod the rifle to have 40% armor penetration and then you can use tank killer for 36% armor penetration. When I tried to use it with all the rifleman and and science weapon and demolition it barely did any damage on the scorched beast
I had the same issue. This gun always did horrible against the queen. I used to One Shot most things, then the queen I'd Hit it as if I was shooting it with a pea shooter. I don't know, i haven't tested or figured it out. I assume it is due to the resistance the queen has. Come back and let me know if you figure it out before me!
I have one a quad explosive last round has 25% precent to do 100 damage and plus 50 resistance while aiming and bullets explode for 15% damage is it good?
is is basically a 1 star. Quad/Last Shot/50dra. The 15% explosive isnt a star, it is on all Gauss guns even when there are no stars. It is a nice first star. No real value though. Going from 5 rounds to 20 rounds is great. I would prefer a stronger first star, like Anti Armor of Bloodied, personally.
been a while since i tested it, but when i did the Faster fire rate doesn't do anything for you, doesn't speed up the charge, and you can already fire it as fast as you can click it. Vamp isn't bad, but personally a sniper type weapon isn't benefiting from healing, because you shouldn't be taking damage often. A collector would like it, if the collector is after all vamp 25 25 rolls for every weapon, even the ones that aren't good on it.
Very simple, if you do 100 roll, 99 are bad and 1 is a groll, that is 99 items that can be put into a scrip machine for the 40 scrip per item return. Saves time farming legendries to turn in scrip daily on my main and all the alts I turn in scrip. If you rerolled the same gun over and over you miss out on 3,960 scrip. I'd rather turn have the scrip.
Power armor you need in nuke zones, or hazmat but that don’t have protection, power armor only option, on my secret service armor I get I think 17 rad which is much can’t be there for long or rad ways all the time
you have choices, and none ideal. Power armor is a good choice, if you get a chinese stealth suit, that is great to jump in also if need be. I use that to collect ore in Rad Rumble. I pop a diluted radaway every once in a while and am fine. For nuke zones, if i need to run in and out quickly, say to loot the queen, i am normally safe to spam a couple radaway diluted, run in, get loot, then run out. You have the option to use Rad perks, and rad gear, but that would be changing the build. Play around with stuff and see what works for you!
im going to try my luck but im looking for a anti armor minigun with bashing damage and 90% reduce weight im willing to trademy god role quad faster firerate 90% reduce weight or my quad explosive
@MrMorp76 yeah im struggling to get my hands on a aa bash and 90% reduce minigun my friend gave me a vampire bash but its the stealth version for me it hasto be anti armor bash and 90 reduce weight
Love this game but rolling is the most frustrating thing in the game :/ they need to make modules half the price, it’s just way to expensive, I played over 1000 hours and I only have 1 single god roll
it is super frustrating. Weird, some times I go hundreds and hundreds... and hundreds more rolls and nothing... then I'll roll 20 and 10 will be grolls. super random and aggravating at times.
