I'm from Hawaii, which was once a kingdom. King Lunalilo composed his version of "God Save the King" in Hawaiian prior to our state anthem "Hawaiʻi Ponoʻī” written by his successor King Kalākaua. Hawaiian lyrics Ke Akua Mana Mau Ho'omaika'i, pōmaika'i I ka mō’ī Kou lima mana mau Malama kia'i mai Ko mākou nei mō’ī E ola ē I mua ou mākou Ke ali'i o nā Ali'i E aloha mai E mau ke ea ē 'O ke aupuni nei E ola mau mākou Me ka mō’ī English translation “Eternal, mighty God Bless us from your bright abode Our Sovereign King May your all powerful arm Ward from our sire all harm Let no vile foe alarm Long may he reign Before Thee King of Kings Of Whom all nature sings Our prayer we bring Oh let our kingdom live Life, peace and union give Let all Thy care receive Bless thou our King!”
“To dedicate one's life to the service of their country is among the highest of callings. Few have offered such service, dedication, and love as Prince Philip has. Thank you, Your Royal Highness.” - Brandon F.
I turned on the news today and saw something I certainly was not wishing to see. Queen Elizabeth II had died. May she Rest In Peace. And may she be remembered for eternity.
God save our gracious Queen, Long live our noble queen, God save the Queen; Send her victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us: God save the Queen. Oh Lord, our God, arise, Scatter her enemies, And make them fall Confound their politics, Frustrate their knavish tricks, On Three our hopes we fix, God save us all. Thy choicest gifts in store. On her be pleased to pour; Long may she reign: May she defend our laws, And ever give us cause To sing with heart and voice God save the Queen
Thank you for everything Queen Elizabeth II. You were always a passionate and determined monarch of the United Kingdom. You will inspire more generations for the foreseeable future.
Unspeakable grief, from those of us here in the U.S; as well. Not only have we lost Her Majesty..but we morn losing another member of the "Greatest Generation". There shall NEVER be another quite like Hers! And..Godspeed, dear Charles III! May you emulate Her Grace, and dignity. My deepest condolences, for YOUR personal loss of your mother. She was born only two months, before my own Mom!
1st he can't just put a -2022 at the end to do that he must delete this video, then go to the editing program, edit the text and repost it. 2nd it says 1801- that's the year of uniting Great Britain and Northern Ireland into one name- United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Why should he put -2022 at the end, the Queen is not 221 years old.
I still cant believe Elizabeths death, I remember hearing about her going to the hospital and I was doing my homework while the news broke out that she had passed away. Im speaking on the behalf of all the finns, You will be missed Rest In Peace Elizabeth
O Lord our God arise, Scatter our enemies, And make them fall! Confound their politics, Frustrate their knavish tricks, On Thee our hopes we fix, God save us all!
God Save the King soon to be New Crowned King of United Kingdom! My tears still for Queen Elizabeth may her eternal soul will be in the Lord forever our Creator!
@@mustafaaustinpowers5748No, neither the tune nor the words of this anthem originate in France or, at least, there is no concrete and reliable evidence for any such claim. The earliest verifiable sources for both words and tune are from England in 1744, 1619 and 1607. The words themselves for the first verse are quoting lines from the Old Testament of the Bible, of course.
