God save the Queen was the national anthem at the time and was performed during Queen Victoria’s reign from 1837 until her death in 1901. It was generally always performed to conclude concerts and events during the period. I have based my arrangement on a variation from a set of variations on the popular theme by nineteenth-century guitarist-composer, Charles Blum.
