To say they are doing the solo leveling anime justice is actually an understatement, the adaptation has been absolutely flawless so far 😭😭

I love how seriously they took the culling scene. Its satisfying to see the hunters get whats coming to them, but they are still humans, and Jinwoo is a murderer. There really was no other way out other than to kill to be killed. What an amazing scene they animated perfectly.

I said... if u watch 1 episode like episode 4, you be hooked. I have read certain people complaining about how this was underwhleming compared to the manhwa, I can understand why they said that but you can put so much detail in a single still frame compared to an animation, of course it will look different, it's a different type of media

I'm glad A1 is adapting the story faithfully but the art just isn't as good as the manhwa. They also made jin woo look more like a generic Japanese anime character. In the manhwa at this point in the story he looked a lot better and had longer hair which looked cool at this point in the story because it was flowing in the air as he was butchering the spider and the squad. They made his hair stiff like a mfer in the anime and made it shorter for some damn reason eventhough he still hasn't gotten a hair cut. He does get a clean cut but not at this point in the story. His hair is still suppose to be as long as it was from before hi glow up but for some reason they made his hair shorter like bruh. The spider fight and squad kill was done a lot better in the manhwa and was more gory. I mean he literally used his speed skill to split the mage guy into like 20 pieces in the manhwa whereas he just stabs the guy in the manhwa 🤦. Thank god A1 isn't changing alot from the novel but I wish ufotable animated this. They would've done a better job with wind effects and the color saturations from the manhwa. The adaptaion is incredibly mid so far. The only thing theyre doing justice is following the stiry but theyre cutting out dialogue and dramatic effects the manhwa had. Like when he used self recovery. It was way more dramatic in the manhwa and the dialogue of him roasting the mages magic before splitting the mfer into 20 pieces. A1 is a good studio but solo leveling isnt their style. I have no idea why the solo leveling author didnt try ufotable or mappa. Those are the only two studios that wouldve done the animation justice.

The skill is still called bloodlust for me (my opinion also thats what its called in the manhwa also) thats a better name for it also the "Drain" effect should have been bleed instead and the killings where more brutal in the manhwa I feel like wich I would have liked here, still a good episode though.

The somber music in that last massacre was fucking PERFECT! It really reflects how Jinwoo isn't fighting the hunters, this isn't an action scene, he doesn't WANT to kill them, he's being forced by their actions and "The System" to kill them or he will simply die. He isn't playing with them, torturing them, or mocking them, he is simply reacting to their actions. Even for a character like Jinwoo, who has been taught again and again and again that in the world of hunters, power is absolute, it's all that matters, he struggles at first with killing his fellow man, if they hadn't been such murderous douche-canoes he could never have done it, though of course, if they were just normal hunters he never would have received that Urgent Quest. It's bloody incredible character work and only a TASTE of what is coming down the road, good GOD I love when a show is faithful to a well written novel, you can really feel how focused the story is on exploring the character of Jinwoo as he experiences these horrors.

Ive waited for solo leveling anime for some years (though i thought it would never come) and jinwoos voice actor is amazing! So is the ost's!! Also before jinwoo killed the last guy, he said "you bastard, do you even know who my brother is" I mean think what you will but something is getting cooked up

I just realized that the dungeon start to crumble after DripWoo kills Hwang, not the Spider. It shows that Hwang is the real "boss" in this dungeon!

As a non manhwa reader, I wonder how many times will the system and jinwoo collapse in disagreement. I think he accepted pretty easy that he needed to kill all of them because they were a threat, but what if the system said he needed to kill every single one of them including Yoo Jinho? I guess at that point he wasn't a threat and the system didn't take it in account, but it could think (the system) that no witness were the best way to "save him" and guarantee survival.
